Anybody nervous?  No?

Games like this can turn on a bad bounce. Hate the 1-0 lead into the 3rd. Hope the Leafs can pop an early goal in the third.

No, Bernier is solid and the Wild are looking nonlethal.

We do need to control the puck more in the 3rd tho.

It's a mess of a game really...could go either way.

I wish these guys could get some forecheck/cycle game going.  That's one thing I'd like to see Clarkson initiate.

Me too.  He's supposed to be an initiator, but I haven't seen it yet.  He could be, should be, taking a leadership role here with Bozak and Bolland out.

Leafs doing whatever they can to blow this game.

Except for the PK, you mean.  And goaltending.  And the PP converted.  :)

But yeah, this 5 on 5 crap is getting maddening.

THat's a terrible call. 2 minutes, maybe, but it was largely a clean hit. No elbow, no charge, skate still on the ice . . . not a 5 minute hit at all.

I don't understand how that is a match penalty.  He hits him square on.  The elbow is tucked and the only reason it makes contact with the head is because Granlund is hunched over.  I don't even buy that it is head first.

Garbage call.

That may have earned Kadri an extra look by the league at the hit on Backlund.  Idiot.

That call is a disgrace. He didn't even take 3 strides, so it's not charging. He didn't leave his feet. He didn't even elbow. He hit a guy who left himself open and was crouching a bit.

This league might as well become a ringette league.
