I think this may have been part of the downfall this year.  He was supposed to be the one providing a calming influence on the back end.  Once he went out, the wheels came off shortly after and they couldn't get them back on again.  I don't think that this is the only reason the Leafs struggled after January 31, but I think it was a factor.

Well, sure, except that the wheels fell off after he came back.

Alright then.  That'll teach me for not looking up stats.  In that case I think Liles is the problem because he.....took....time....away...from....younger...d-man...people...type...things.

Eh, ultimately he's just like Kaberle without any of the things that made Kaberle fun to watch.

like watching his cheeks turn red during an interview?

Good article by Siegel about Liles' struggles coming back from his concussion: http://www.tsn.ca/toronto/blogs/jonas_siegel/?id=392008

Thanks for that, it jives with how he looked after he came back, tough go.

Good thing we signed him to a 4 year extension.

Well, if he clears the cobwebs it won't be too bad... hopefully. Partial NTC so he's movable and hey, on a sideways note, Lupul lost his partial NTC for next year so, yay?
