Locked out Leafs Tracker

Kule scored again today, getting the game winner in the 3rd period of Metallurg's 2-1 win.

Typical Kule type goal, on the PP planted himself in front of the net and beat 2 dmen to quickly one time a nice pass from Malkin to get the goal.

That's the other good news, it seems he's back with Malkin for ES and also getting some PP time too. He played the 2nd most fwd minutes after Malkin in the game today.

He and Malkin are Shake n' Bake!

At first that looked kind of dirty but honestly, the guy wasn't really that close to the boards at all... until Kulemin (or Kulyomin now ???) put him there.  :)

Grabbo with 2A tonight in 3-0 CSKA win over Lev Prague. He has 6 pts (3+3) in 9 games so far. Kuli has 5 pts (3+2) in 11 games

From pure selfish Leafs point of view the more Leafs play somewhere the better.

BTW - Nik Kulemin with a goal and assist in 5-2 Metalurg win against Dinamo Riga yesterday. Grabbo plays tonight against Slovan Bratislava

Kulemin (Metalurg Magn., KHL)  12 4+3 7 +6  8  2  0  1  0  34 11.8
Grabovski (CSKA, KHL)                9  3+3 6 +1  4  0  0  1  1  19 15.8 (FO winning pctg 53,7%)
Cody Franson (Brynas, SEL)        4  0+0 0 -4  0  0  0  0  0    6  0.0

Good to see Nik chipping in on power play, Grabbo?s face-offs winning percentage is also good.

I showed this video to my kids the other night and then realized the foul language.  When I first watched it, I thought it was just an angry German guy.

Kule continues scoring on the PP, got another one in Metallurg's 7-2 rout today, giving him 6 goals in 14 games overall so far.

He continues to get a lot of ice time, is averaging almost 3 shots per game and impressively leads the team in +/- in only 14 games; Kule is a +6 compared to Malkin who is only even.

So hopefully he'll have his confidence back when the NHL gets going again 5 years from now.

If he isn't one of the players that just decides to stay in Russia a la Ovechkin and Kovalchuk.

Grabbo and also Cody Franson with a goal over the weekend

Nikolai Kulemin (Metalurg Magn., KHL)  14 6+3 9 +6  8  4  0  1  0  40 15.0
Mikhail Grabovski (CSKA, KHL)            12  5+3 8 +1  6  1  0  1  1  26 19.2 (FO winning pctg 54,2%)
Cody Franson (Brynas, SEL)                  6  1+0 1 -4  0  1  0  0  0    9  11.1

Clarke MacArthur has not played for Eispiraten of the Second German League yet.

Is the lockout over?  :o

So Joffrey Lupul off to the KHL. Interesting that he joins a bottom feeder and is one of few North Americans to go to Russia.

Thanks, James. :P

EDIT: Though, interestingly . . .

He's not eligible by the KHL's criteria.
