Like the Puscifer stuff but really want a new Tool CD.

I thought I read a while ago that they are doing one tool album more and that's it...

I love tool, but I really think this is the greatest Maynard, song, tool included:

this is up there, for me, with Everlong and Trippin' on a hole in a paper heart as my favourite songs ever.

Like how he's promoting his own wine there...

Did you watch the doc on his winery - blood into wine? It's worth a watch...

Nope, not really into wine all that much.  I'm more of a caveman when it comes to wine tasting lol.  I think we can both agree that Maynard is one talented dude.  I love Tool, Perfect Circle and the Puscifer stuff.  Certain artists can do anything, he's one.  Another guy that is multi-faceted is Steven Wilson.

Donkey  Punch The Night! Puscifer continues the tradition, the last frames of that video kind of weird me out.

You can hear all the tracks from the EP here...

There's 2 originals and 2 covers with remixes, including Accept's 'Balls to the Wall' which they've been doing live for a while now.

The 'Rhapsody' cover isn't the first time Maynards done this, he did it live with Billy Howardel for some video game release a while back.

In the link there's an interview where he mentions that there's no time frame for a new Tool album ( or APC ) that there's no songs just jams but then again he's a notorious liar.

...and yeah, Blood into Wine is a pretty good doco...

Don't know if that's the case.  They are definitely promising another Tool album, but after that who knows.

Tool is my favourite band by far, and has been since I was in high school.

From wiki:  In January 2013, the band stated they were "over half done" with their upcoming album.[91] In early February, despite Keenan stating that there would not be a new album released in 2013, Carey said that the album might still be released "sometime this year."

I never gave Magical Mystery Tour the love it deserves. I used to hate the Fool on the Hill but I love it now, along with most of the album. I also think Flying was ahead of its time as a musical piece.

So I guess this might be the best place for this...

For those who don't know, for the last nearly 8 years, I've been playing in a band called Treestar with some of my best friends in the world.  We've been working the last few years on our full length record, which we're finally going to release independently this April 9th.  This is the lead track from the record:

Feel free to give it a listen, and if you like what you hear, feel free to share the video and follow us on facebook/twitter/etc to get info about buying/downloading the record when it comes out!  If you don't like it, that's cool too, thanks for at least giving it a shot!

Thanks guys!

I've been writing songs since I was like 16, and im getting more interested in the music part of it now. I can't figure out whether to buy a better keyboard or a cheap digital piano. My budget is somewhat bad, but there are some cheap digital pianos that seem to sound good. I want one with USB-connection. Been looking at Yamaha PSRE333 (Keyboard) and Yamaha NPV60. So far I like PSRE333, but it's hard to determine how good the piano sound is from watching youtube :P

I went with the PSRE333, gonna be exciting once I get it :P

Chi Cheng, bass player from the Deftones, passed away today. :(  It looked liked he finally turned the corner after finally being discharged from the hospital in 2012, so this is very sad news...

R.I.P. Rita MacNeil 1944-2013

She was Canada's "first lady" of voice, known worldwide for her touching songs of the human spirit and tales of home, home being Atlantic Canada, in particular, her hometown of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

Complications due to surgery was the official line as the cause of her death at the age of 68.  While her life had had it's own share of other complications, it was through her songs with her soaring voice that she touched Canadians & her many fans.

While complications may have got the better of her, nothing will ever erase the wonderful music memories that MacNeil left for others to enjoy.  And thank you, Ms MacNeil.
