So, the rest of the roster is going to be filled with rookies and league minimum scrubs? Good plan. Go with it.

Not saying you should, just that, in comparison the rumoured asking price/deals that were offered, that's actually a very fair and reasonable trade demand/offer. Toss in a contract going the other way, and that's probably the most balanced Nash rumour that's been out there so far.

Two prospects and a mid-first rounder? I think that undervalues Nash a bit. Jeff Carter went for more.

No it will be the same group of up & comers that helped get us in the playoffs last year and who won the Calder Cup the year before. Speckled with some highly touted rookies for spice.

That would make for a pretty confusing example for me to use in that context.

No. I think Nash is significantly better.

Just to emphasize what I wrote above, Carter's per 82 game average over his career is 32 goals and 60 points. Nash's is 35 goals and 67 points. It's not a huge difference but factor in the significantly superior talent that Carter's played with and I'm pretty comfortable saying Nash is the much more valuable player.

Interviewed him back in February, great kid. He's still kind of raw defensively but he's going to look good in a Sens jersey. Karlsson, Cowen and Ceci sounds kinda nice.
