I don't think he's injury prone, he just has that nagging, appears to be, left knee injury. I don't think he came back early. There was a highlight they showed last night from Sat's game and it looked like he hurt it again. I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't play tomorrow night. I don't think he's getting over this until the off season. I hope he can because we're going to need both guys.

The schedule this season is not very forgiving for anyone trying to play through an injury, that's for sure. Considering how many netminders have been hurt this season, I have to imagine it's especially difficult on goalies. I also suspect neither Campbell not Andersen will be able to get back to 100% until the off-season, which is why I was advocating for the Leafs to upgrade their goaltending depth. I also suspect that, if Andersen was healthy and performing well, Campbell would have taken more time to let things heal properly.
I'm not buying that Campbell came back early at all. If he wasn't ready to come back there was no need to do so. He also wouldn't have been Freddie's backup on the 19th after he had 21 or so days off after his previous start. Campbell had played 1 game since Jan 25th before his game on Mar 20th. If anything a healthy Jack may have gone a long way in keeping Freddie healthy. We'll never know because we have no idea how long Freddie was playing hurt.
The sched has been hard on goalies so far..
As for upgrading. Who's out there? I don't see the Leafs going after a #1 so how much can we upgrade with another back up? Without Freddie and/or Jack healthy Leafs will be in big trouble.

I have a PP plan as well:
Nylander
Nylander - Nylander - Nylander
Nylander

Interesting. Should he use a left-handed stick in any of those spots? Or just continually feed passes from right to left?

Let's steal Ulmark from Buffalo while we get Hall.

I wouldn't be opposed to it. His numbers are actually pretty good for being on that train wreck of a team. 2.60GAA, 0.916SV%
Don't see Buff getting rid of him. Don't think they have much in the system.
What about a guy like Wedgewood out of Jersey? He's a UFA at season's end, 700K, 2.72GAA, 0.914SV%
Stolarz out of Anaheim? Kivlenieks out of CBJ? Pickard out of Det?

He plays LW regularly and has a decent backhand so I?m not worried. A right shot on the right half wall feeding a right handed one timer at the right circle is winner winner chicken dinner too. Especially with a right shot net front and bumper crashing the net for rebounds.

Not sure they?re going to have much of a choice. Can?t see him re-signing after the season they?ve had and the abysmal run they?ve had his entire career. Would be in their best interest to get assets for him now instead of watching him leave for nothing. And, if he does want to stay with the Sabres, he can always sign with them after the season.

Good point..I didn't know he was a UFA, never checked. Leafs would have to pay for them to eat salary. I think you could get Wedgewood cheaper and his salary is 700k..I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
