Opening Round: Tampa vs Columbus

So many have tried to argue the Kuch hit wasn't as bad because Kadri used his hip/thigh to check and looked more vicious. How much more vicious does a trip, knowing he was on the ice and proceeding to skate and check him into the boards while Nutivaara is on his knees have to be to be comparable?? You'd think Kadri was the devil incarnate.

I think that Kadri's was more from behind and got more head contact. But in his Wingels was just falling prior to the hit. Kucherov knew his guy was on his knees the whole time and went out of his way to throw the hit. So I'd say the force of Kadri's hit was worse but Kucherov's was more of an intent to injure.

Should have been 2 for Kucherov.  I'd say it's a big loss but not like he did anything in games 1&2

Yeah but still, you lose that potential. But yeah I'd be pretty giddy watching TBAY get swept.

I just watched the hit on video, and I have to reluctantly agree with Carlton here.  Kadri's was a fair bit more predatory.

Kadri was a repeat offender, no?
Kuch had a hearing on Vatanen last year during the playoffs. Either way that hit's not a one game suspension. Should be more.
I agree. Should be at least 2 but whatever. Great opportunity for CBJ in game 3.

Lightning head into game 3 down 2-0 sans Kucherov (being a butthead) and Hedman (probably having a bad head moment).

CBJ up by 1. TBay has not responded well at all from last game. Probably hard to do without your best forward or Dman. Stamkos hasn't done much this series yet. If he were on the Leafs he'd already be traded.

Stamkos was almost traded by Stevie Y when he was in charge. Stevie Y isn't a fan of his and neither am I. So glad the Leafs never signed him.

Tampa gets one, now or never for them to show they can carry the regular season to the postseason.

Looks like Tampa loses game 3 and will trail 3-0 in the series.  CBJ score an empty net to make it 3-1 with 60 secs left.  Without kucherov and Hedman they were outplayed.  What a story.
