O-Dog is my new hero.

And I agree with McKenzie, just get rid of the whole thing.

Not able to watch, what is this in reference to?

The Caps visit to the White House...two Canadian players elected to skip the event.
So what did O Dog say? He wouldn't go either?

All 3 said that but O'Neill didn't mince any words about why.
Love the O Dog. He'd be the perfect replacement for Grapes when he retired.

It was a quiz question but I forget the exact wording...something along the lines of "would you go?"

Paraphrasing, O Dog said no f'ing way because the current resident there is the cause of a lot of BS in the world right now. Bobby Mac was of the opinion that the NHL should avoid anything to politicize the league (which is effectively all the visit is in the first place) so no. Poulin didn't elaborate on his reasons but was a pretty emphatic no.

So the Leafs magic number is 6.

Montreal has 88 points with 6 games left and can max out at 100 points.  The Leafs hold the tiebreaker with ROW and at best Montreal can tie them at 44 ROW.  The Leafs hold the next tie breaker in head to head games with a 6 points to 2 point lead.  Good stuff.

why aren't they resting Anderson a bit? Especially as the Panthers are head hunting.

No reason to pull a goaltender in a game he is scheduled to get a win in.  Teams just don't do that.

I was unaware of the cap hit rules for retiring players.  If luongo retires in 2 seasons the canucks get a $8M cap hit.  How does that work?

Contracts signed after 35+ years have cap hits remain to prevent circumvention of the cap by way of ?early retirements? off longer term. The signing team gets the hit.

Do you think if that rule went away it would be rampant problem?
