R1G3: Bruins @ Leafs - May 6th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Well, would have liked to come out with a lead, but what can you do.  Keep skating and get the puck in the back of the net.

Leafs are not letting loose, playing cautious....like they're aware of the crowd expectation. Need to shake that off, play like the usual piranhas in the other teams zone. C'mon guys, let's see the real Leafs!!

Yep they look tight, the PP got off to a good start but then crumbled.  Boston has had way more quality chances (like that one at the end where the guy missed) we're lucky it's only 1-0.

Two bad shifts by the 3rd pairing D lost momentum for the Leafs. I thought they did a good job getting it back towards the end of the period but I fear that powerplay killed it again.

Lets hope they come out strong again in the 2nd

I hate it when guys stand around in front of our net. Lucky we didn't go down 2-0 there at the end of the period. Can't figure out why guys don't take the body more in front of Reimer. Giving up too may shots as well. See if Cherry says something about that.

Good start to the game i hope they stop falling down soon.
I like that their composed.
It's 40 more minutes.

Sit tight.

Cherry is right as far as B?s point shot is concerned

I don't know. It seems as though his advice sort of borders on the contradictory. It's "always be covering the point" but "don't be screening the goalie". Really it seems like the only way to play the point according to Don Cherry is basically to block every single shot from it.

I think the Leafs have been pretty poor at that and not just tonight and this series but for much of the season. Forwards get running around in our end. That's why I always say get pucks through cuz you never know.

Also while I agree that the Leafs should probably do a better job of closing off on point shots, some of the Bruins goals they showed weren't point shots.

I think Kessel needed to shoot on that two on one. He didn't really give Lupul much of a play to make. That said, the second pass was terrific.
