With nearly everyone predicting a Leaf win tonight, I have to think they will lose. (At least that's how I play the stock market, and usually come ahead.)

You are bad.

So is Peter D. just below me.

Hey. I don't come here with rainbow makers and bubble machines.  ;)

A comeback just isn't in the cards, at least not if we're being reasonable about things.

Oh sure. Now if they pull off a win tonight you're gonna show me up....... :D

Showing you up. Told ya.

But you were right. It doesn't feel too bad. ;D

He he well that was smooth eh!
No issues with this heart attack team.
Leave it to the Leafs to get everyone up, and then the let down.
Well not tonight.

Kudos to the gutsy effort. I gotta say that game had me twisted in every direction, and i'm sure the Leafs felt the same.
Looks to me that Speed Kills.

I hope that it does the next game.
Boston is a Trap team. They punish you up the side boards, and keep it in.
The float around waiting for the loose puck.
With less that 3 minutes the Leafs were hemmed in, but did not do a desperation pass out which would have been gobbled up by Boston.

Gutsy win.
Hat's off to the Leafs.

while i didn't think the leafs deserved to be down 3-1....it wasn't so much so that i doubted for a second what boston would do now that it was.  somehow the leafs dealt with that...in boston no less.  who knew our real downfall was having to play 3 games at home.

as it is ..i'm still fairly certain we're going to lose ultimately..but now there's a chance..and beyond that i guess i'm just happy that the leafs didn't just roll over and die.  even if they go out on sunday night at home..i think that applause at the end will be well deserved....

all i could think at the end of this one was...one more game...obviously i'll be hoping to say that on sunday as well

Cool poem.

Awesome game.  I was really nervous at the end, the not clearing the puck thing is getting ridiculous especially by Phaneuf.  Happy Bozak got one I thought he's been good this year.  Cant remember seeing someone dominate as much as Grabbo with no goals to show for it.

Whatever happens next game I can't wait to see the atmosphere again at home.

It's been a really even series. The difference between a Boston 3-2 lead or a Leaf 3-2 lead is marginal (Phaneuf mistake in OT).

I'm proud of this team whatever happens, though I'd love to see a game 7!

Just finished watching PVR game 5. Glad the Leafs are making a series out of this. The more they play and win, the more they'll understand that playoff hockey is where it counts, and its different than regular season.

If Im a Boston fan, I'm ripping pretty hard on Seguin right now. Nothing like a guy who racks up his stats during regular season and disappears for the playoffs. He makes a play or two, looks like he might do something - then quits.

Some excellent saves for James tonight. Playoff goaltending. The right saves at the right times.

As mentioned, Grabbo is tearing it up. No points but he is keeping the Bruins hands full at all times he's on the ice. Hard to believe he hasn't potted a couple yet with that kind of intensity. He is suffering from the same fate as Kessel - driven wide on the rush every time. Grabbos getting more done on the forecheck however and not intimidated at all by physical play.

Just one game to think about right now - game 6. Nothing else matters.

Watching the post-game reactions, and all the interviews that the two teams have done so far, I'm surprised how gentlemanly they're been towards each other.
Even during the games with the hard hitting, I dont sense the "hatred" that you usually see in a playoff round.
I think it shows how much respect they have towards one another

WHEW!

God job boys!.. You owe me a coupe of heart beats

lol...before the third my wife hands me my 4 day old son and says "bring him up to bed after the game so I can feed him"

glad to say with the help of some deep breathing he is in fine shape!  not dropped or squeezed or anything!

Well done, Dad, and congrats.  4 days old, eh?  How did he like Wednesday's game?  You've got to start 'em early.

thanks...although all the credit goes to my wife(goes without saying).  My Wife watched the end of game 4 with our new son and I and we were both flabbergasted that they lost but it seems as though they have outplayed the bruins since he was born (not counting the last 10 minutes last night) so I'll call him my good luck charm!

also, I was convinced that he was going to be born during game 7 and I'd be the guy in the commercial wearing the headphones yelling "GO GO GO" but he was gracious enough to come on a non game day pretty early in the series a week early I might add which awesomely(if you can say it its a word) gave me enough time off from work to be able to watch the rest of the series!

and more importantly have time with my family of course!

That was fun.  Can anyone provide context for that hit?  McQuaid looked like he really had some sand in his privates after it.  Was he just angry about being embarrassed, or was something else going on?  They seemed to stop playing, was there a whistle?

It was a very slightly late hit after a whistle.  Not late enough for a penalty, but late enough to tick him off, particularly for how he went down.

yeah, it was a delayed offside that should have been blown down a little earlier but it was a bit of a late hit.

and Kulemin didn't hear the whistle. Probably didn't think there was one, since it was already late for the offside. Stupid officials.

i don't know..i really think part of that is that we've never really posed a danger to them..i expect this to get a bit nastier from here on out..especially if the leafs find a way to game 7
