R1G6: Bruins @ Leafs - May 12th, 7:30pm - CBC, Fan 590

Completely useless comment but I finally figured it out since it bugged me I couldn't pinpoint it -- April Reimer looks like Rachel McAdams!

I'm not ready to predict a G7 win -- 3 in a row in BOS seems a reach -- but the Bruins look like they are out of gas.

Game 7 is tomorrow? Ugh. That means a maximum of about 4 hours sleep tonight and 4 hours tomorrow night.

I wouldn't want to speak to me in work on Tuesday morning ;D

You rock, man.  All the best!

What a game.  Leafs have definitely earned some respect pushing this to game 7 regardless of how it goes.

I for one like our chances.  We've got the younger legs and everything going for us right now.  Still the Bruins have a bunch of dormant players (including young guys like Seguin) so it's going to be a heck of a game.

A few misc thoughts....

- I'm giving Carlyle credit for being an effective coach, from handling the emotional side of the game with a young team to lineup changes regardless if some were dictated by injuries
- the Bruins look gassed and the quick turnaround for Game 7 gives me hope
- this should mean no Luongo rumours this summer
- I love our youth..we finally have kids to be proud of - and I include Phil as "youth "

Now off to get my meds for Monday...

If the Leafs win tomorrow night this goes way beyond 1993 against Detroit. Considering where the Leafs came from in recent history vs Boston this series win would be epic. I never thought they had a shot at this. Now I want it bad.

Joe Colborne says he was told after game 5 that he would play in game 6.

That makes me think Bozak's injury is somewhat serious if they knew that far in advance that he would be out. I'd be shocked if he played tomorrow at least.

Guys can you imagine the pressure going through the Bruins heads right now.  Jagr looks like the second coming of Jason Allison.  We have absolutely nothing to lose here, one of those Cinderella comeback stories from the movies.  I love this team, the only blemish is the absolute non response by  Nonis after the second goal by Kessel, has the dude no heart?

Colborne didn't look out of place tonight. It's a great sign.

Carlyle is absolutely hammering Julien in the coaching department.

When your goalie is easily your MVP throughout the entire series I have a hard time giving the coach major credit. Props to him for finally playing his best players though.

While I definitely agree, at least Carlyle is making adjustments.

Julien continues to keep things status quo and has stuck with the Bergeron-Seguin-Marchand line which has done nothing. And why Jagr, who while looking slow is still dominant with the puck, is still stuck with those stiffs on the 3rd line is beyond me. But it's okay -- let Julien continue what he's doing.  ;D

Yeah, I really don't get why he hasn't split up that second line yet.

No matter what happens in game 7 I am damn proud of this team.

Absolutely.

But it'll still be extremely devastating if they don't finish this out. No longer the feeling of happy to be here. Time to get greedy and win this thing.

It wouldn't be that devastating.  Few people gave the Leafs a chance at even making the playoffs, but now there is a game 7 against a team that is much better on paper than the Leafs.  How can we expect more from the players than the effort, heart and character they are giving us fans, and the pride they have given back to the fans?

I really really hope the Bruins look old and tired tomorrow night and the Leafs are skating circles around them.

I was mentally prepared for a quick end to this series. Now I'm all discombobulated. I don't see how the Leafs can win 3 in a row, and beat Boston for a 3rd time on the road. Everything I know about being a Leafs fan tells me that they've set us all up for crushing heart break, and yet everything that's happened in this series has defied all probability and reason.

Well, it worked again. There's probably a lesson in all of this but if there is I refuse to learn it.
