I get salary retention played a roll but we had to pay more for Carlo than the Panthers paid for Marchand. Florida gets the low tax benefit in salaries and gets handed star players. We pay a premium for guys who choke

Yup. They had them but they still had their chances in that OT. 88 and 23 both missed breakaways and they got a flukey goal. .
