Ranking Prospects 2020-2021

I wonder if they keep him there for the entire season instead of bringing him back to play in the ECHL/AHL. Suppose that'll depend on how he likes it there and how much ice-time he's getting.

I said this about SDA but it probably applies to Hollowell as well, especially with the news that the Growlers won't be playing this season. The Marlies will likely have Sandin-Liljegren-Marincin-Kivihalme-Rosen-Warsofsky all on the team. Injuries and rotations will of course mean younger guys like Duszak will still get into games but if Hollowell is having a fun time in Finland and getting sufficient minutes I'd just let him finish the season there. There will still be time for him to come over to the AHL after his season overseas ends.

check out this sick goal by Abramov

Coming from a non-Leaf fan and someone who is tracking prospects systematically, I think it's not just tire pumping. The prospect pool isn't LA/NYR (thanks to so many futile regular seasons and pretty good veteran trades), but it's looking a lot better today than it did two years ago.

From a prospect heavy focus perspective, the Leafs have recently picked a lot of players that exceeded their draft slot value after the draft (Rasmus Sandin, Nick Robertson, Mikhail Abramov, Nick Abbruzzese, Mac Hollowell) and quite a number of picks this past draft that were ranked above their draft slots (Roni Hirvonen, Topi Niemela, Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Veeti Miettinen).

I think the draft the last two years went pretty well considering the #1 picks we traded away.  At least we have semblance of a real D now. We haven't been able to say that for a long, long time.

Abramov did in fact get an invite to Russia's WJC camp, which takes place in Russia. He and Amirov should both be top-6 forwards there. Akhtyamov was also invited to the camp and will be in competition for the back-up spot behind Askarov.

For the past 2 months Brazeau is working twice a week with Barb Underhill or one of her staff for 20 minutes per session.. ?I?m more efficient with my stride. I?m not wasting energy. I?m getting more glide. You can see the effectiveness of what we?ve been doing.?  (courtesy of the Athletic).

Hope I am not breaking any rules here.

Leading his team in scoring so far
Saw him play with the Marlies a few times. I like his game and think he could actually be a player for us.

I quite like him, but I think I'd like him a lot more as a third round pick with Sam Girard in the fold. Can't change where your prospects are drafted after the fact, but you can do your best to maximize what's there (Gauthier)
