Looks like the leafs won't be skating today. James reimer is on the ice working with francois allaire and anthony belza.

Who's that?  A guy from an on-ice pizza delivery service?

Strength and conditioning coach.

Injured goaltender James Reimer spent about 35 minutes on the ice in with goaltending consultant Francois Allaire. He wore full equipment and faced some softer shots from the top of the slot and in close.

During another sequence, Allaire and strength and conditioning coach Anthony Belza passed the puck back and forth while Reimer followed the puck across the ice. He was wearing what appeared to be a heart-rate monitor on his wrist and checked it after each sequence.

Reimer has been making some progress off the ice, so the team decided to take it another step by allowing him to go on the ice.

Well, that's a lot better than what he's recently been doing.  The real question will be how he responds to this.  If he's okay tomorrow, then ramp it up a bit again.  If he's okay after that then things are looking on the bright side.

Wilson: Reimer still at least 7-10 days away. Brown fighting minor injury.

Finally a timeline.  I guess this suggests that the symptoms have cleared up and they can use the next week or so to get him back to game ready.

Burke stated in the DiManno article that a week would be wildly optimistic, they're hoping for the next couple of weeks.

As long as it's roughly that time frame and not another three months, I think that's encouraging news. They just have to scratch out a few points between now and then so they don't completely sink out of playoff contention.

Yes absolutely, this is very encouraging that he is at least going in the right direction.

I think that people should be prepared, I mean some seem to think that as soon as Reimer comes back everything will be fine. A lot of pressure on a guy who's been gone for a while.

REIMER EXPECTS TO TAKE FULL PRACTICE IN DALLAS

Both Reimer and Wilson stressed that "no timeline" exists for a return, but if all things continue to trend in the right direction, it's conceivable that Reimer could get back in action next week in one of two games against Boston. A return on Sunday in Anaheim seems highly unlikely at this point.

If things go well, not too much longer before he's back ..

Well, like he said, things are trending upward, which is something to be happy about.

I thought after the Habs shut out, he was fighting the puck a little. I am hoping he is just back and steady in net.

Reimer is in his first full practice since Nov 1st.

Great sign. James reimer takes home net for this morning's skate. Looks very close to returning to active duty.

Reimer has his own net right now while Scrivens and Gustavsson are sharing as practice begins

Reimer out at least another ten days. Leafs wont rush him back.

Ugh.

I'm penning Tuesday Dec 6, at home against the Devils as his potential return date.  That's in 6 games.
