The Habs Thread - Reloaded

BartsBytes: Canadiens assistant coach Perry Pearn has been relived of his duties prior to the game.

I think he was a carry over from Martin's years with the Sens (maybe he's been with Martin in other stops). Seems to be a developing and increasing trend: throw the fans a bone by axing an assistant coach.

Letting a guy go so close to game time is an interesting move. It could light a fire under the team, but, I think it's more likely that it rattles them even more than their poor start already has. Really strange timing on this one.

After watching the 1st period of the Habs-Flyers game, I think Manson might be right about this year's Habs team - they're not very good. They're lucky to come out of the period tied and could easily be down 3 at this point.

Horrific 1st period.  15 mins without a shot?  They're very lucky to be tied 1-1.  I'm sure JM really fired them up in the intermission.  ::)

I know I speak for all real Canadians when I say that it's really disappointing that a Canadian team is not performing at a high level.

Unfortunate turn of events here in the 2nd (i.e. Montreal's in the lead).

3-1 Habs.

Luck is on the Habs' side tonight. If Simmonds doesn't hit the post on a wide open net, it's 2-1 Flyers and who knows where things go from there.

Impressive for Price to only allow the one goal, after it being of such an embarrassing variety.

True, but, to be fair, he was also playing the Bruins, who are only slightly better with the puck than the Rangers.

Wish the Leafs had a Subban type.  This guy sure knows how to 'stir things up' (especially against the Bruins)!  ;D

Army is our "agitator" and I think I like his brand of vodka better than Subban's.
