Johnsson - Lindholm - Kapanen...The Leafs shining new fourth line, special teams & PK unit (Lindholm/Kapanen ):

[tweet]1042753980630093824[/tweet]

The line's biggest asset (or advantage) is their speed, speed, speed.  Enough to create chances and shift on the fly.  Lindholm is the key to the line being it's centre and the one who caters and needs to know his wingers.  So far, it's pretty apparent Babcock likes what he sees.

Andreas Johnsson summed it up best:

Like Babcock, he sees Lindholm, who he played against in Sweden, as the Leafs? solution in their fourth-line centre hunt.

?He?s skilled, he?s a very smart guy, he can pass and shoot. Knowing he came from a really good season last year in Sweden, one point per game, I can feel he?s really confident out there and can find passes and spacing,? Johnsson finished.

?I think he?s a very good two-way player and I feel like he can back up me and Kappy really good if we fly down. He?s going to find a position where he can shoot or get back the puck. I think he?s a very complete player who can do everything out there so I don ?t feel like he?s going to have any problem. He?s going to be really good.?

Lindholm stood out in a good way. He's an NHL player and I think just going by that game, it's his job to lose.

So, someone thinks this is only two 4th lines? This is the opening day forwards on Mike Babcock's season journey towards Matthews. Perhaps Bozak and Kadri make two legitimate centers, but Kadri's wingers were not top 6 (or maybe even top 9) on most other teams.

There was a good deal of this in their games against Ottawa so far. But it was pretty sloppy with the mix of players at first, and slowly became better.

In retrospect doesn't it make you cringe?

It does. Now just imagine that the Leafs had traded away their 1st round pick.

That is how Sens fans feel right about now.

Or how about two firsts and a second.

Where do you guys place the emphasis?

I?ve heard it on the gu or on the chin. I naturally put it on the chin.

Edit: chin is correct

The name struck fear in me at first but I've gotten quite good at saying it now.

Der Are Gu Chint Sev!

My trip up was always trying to put too much emphasis between Der and Are, when it sounds like they're supposed to flow into each other almost like one syllable (I think that's where ZBBM thought the announcers were slathering it all together, but they were doing it right).

I though Engvall looked really good.  He really seems to be building off a nice playoff run.

So long, Carrick.

Not exactly a surprise, but if there was some sort of battle for the 4C spot then it's over now.

Back-up goalie (McBackup isn't making this an easy decision) and 6D (Carrick seems to have played himself out of that spot) are still up for grabs.
