Yes and no. I'm much more leery about the guys that are getting drafted out of European leagues than those with Russian backgrounds playing in the OHL/WHL/QMJHL - especially now that there seems to be a real understanding between the two leagues to honour each other's contracts.
And, in reality, the more prominent, high-end Russian players seem to want to play in the NHL. It's the middle tier guys and the guys that really struggle to make it that tend to head back to Russia.
