I like the guy, but nobody's claiming an almost 27-year old defenceman with 4 NHL games under his belt.

Well then please explain why he isn't on the Mrlies because it baffles me.CarltonTheBear said:Guilt Trip said:If there was zero percent he'd be down already and the Leafs would be saving cap money.

Looks like Lilypad is not getting to use his game as a launching pad.herman said:Good news everybody! Timoth Liljegren was loaned to the ECHL NFLD Growlers for a conditioning stint as he's coming off his ankle sprain, playing first pairing, and helping the Growlers land a shutout.
Sad news everybody. Liljegren left the game early in the third limping to the bench and did not return.
There were some rumblings about Rosen lately. He also played very well last year and during the cup run. Don't know if he's ready to make the jump but time will tell. I'd like to think if the Leafs get a good offer for Jake they'll trade him like they should have done with JVR, Bozak and Leo last year. We'll know in a month's time I guess.Highlander said:I am a Jake fan, but as noted before, think for the playoffs he makes tons of knucklehead defensive mistakes. We can trade him for a ton I would think, hate to see him go but he will probably be offered more than the Leafs can afford to pay him. Especially if they want to keep both Johnsson and Kapi (and I really want both of these lads to stick around)..
Keefe can't say enough about Rosen and he scored a beauty yesterday and had a primary assist as well.
"Calle Rosen scored unassisted at 17:24 of the second period and earlier registered the primary assist on Bracco?s first period power play goal. Rosen?s 23 assists put him fourth overall amongst defencemen in the AHL."
I think he comes in a bargain basement price tag. By Jake, its been nice knowing you!
Aside Hutch was in net and isn't our backup option at all.
Yeah by all accounts Rosen is NHL ready and should be fine as 3rd pair left D if Dermott can take Gardiner's spot at 2DGuilt Trip said:There were some rumblings about Rosen lately. Judging by Dermott's game against Tampa, it doesn't appear to be the case. Hopefully by year end he can.Zee said:Yeah by all accounts Rosen is NHL ready and should be fine as 3rd pair left D if Dermott can take Gardiner's spot at 2DGuilt Trip said:There were some rumblings about Rosen lately. How soon can he start for the Leafs?CarltonTheBear said:About a month ago the Marlies signed former goon/all-around P.O.S. Tom Sestito to a PTO. It was a move that raised some eyebrows at the time given his history. Anyway he finally played his first game the other day, and, uh, yeah...

Agree. Still wouldn't mind seeing someone punch him out tho. It really is such a shame he's such an assclown because he is a very good player.Zee said:Highlander said:Funny Zee, as Burkie said, this guy seems to have the right blend of Truculence, Testosterone and (I forgot the other thing he said).. I don't like Marchand, but I would never support intentionally injuring a guy to win a game or series. Shades of Bobby Clarke breaking Kharlamov's ankle on purpose in 72.
As you know I say almost everything in jest, I don't and never have advocated hurting someone on purpose although there are a few politicians I can think of.Zee said:Highlander said:Funny Zee, as Burkie said, this guy seems to have the right blend of Truculence, Testosterone and (I forgot the other thing he said)..
