Cannot afford his cap hit (and his excess cap hit is actually blocking Barabanov)

Well that solves that. Only issue is no cap relief on days off with Robertson but his cap hit is less then Barabanov's and Lehtonen's.

Oh yeah this thing. Injury replacement must be sent back down immediately upon Robertson's return to action. Can we use a different player per game as the replacement?

Unless the rules have changed, they can use a different player each game.
Do you know if it's Robertson's cap hit that's used or the emergency recall's salary? My understanding is it's Robertson's.

Lets hope so, he is a real asset on the PK and at this point better than Spezza.
Don't think he can be used as he doesn't fit under the salary criteria. Spezza was 10-0 on draws last night and that was huge killing penalties. So far this year he's 8-2 in Shorty faceoffs and is 78.3% overall.

Thanks I didn't realize that, those are very good stats on the Face-off. Still miss my Goat and Giraffe from the Leafs petting zoo.

Can't say the same regarding Goat. Engvall will be up at some point. Kerfoot has been good and not so good on the PK so far but hasn't been on the ice for a goal against yet.

Man, what a crappy start to the season for Robertson. Stays in Toronto since the bubble training his ass off and not being able to see his family. Skips the WJC for a chance to make the Leafs. Doesn't start the season on the roster. Finally gets into a game and looks pretty good for the minutes he played and bang, he's out 4 weeks.

Tough start but I think it wil benefit the Leafs in the long run here. Kind of forced their hand at moving Dell and trying to gain some flexibility with the roster.

4 wks sounds like knee sprain (phew). Which means there is still a bit of an opportunity to finetune his skating with Barb as he rehabs the injury. With his extremely hunched stride, I was entirely expecting his first NHL injury to be getting someone's butt to the head.

Well, time to watch the waiver wire for the team?s next 3rd string goalie.
Won't happen. Leafs have enough goalies. Any goalie they grab off waivers to go on the squad will require waivers.

They kept Dell on the active roster for a reason. Leafs aren?t going to have Hutchinson be their fallback position. When Robertson is ready to go, they?ll pluck a goalie from someone and run with 3 netminders again.
