He was wearing a grey/extras jersey to start practice today, but then Mikheyev left mid-practice due to some sort of injury so Nylander took his spot. So I would guess they were going to scratch him but he might go if Mikheyev is out.

And Freddie was out with the team at the end of practice. Keefe said the players were pumped and tried to get a shot on him lol.
Mikheyev left practice so he may not go tomorrow night.

Mikheyev needs a couple days off. He's been awful lately.

Sorry, don't agree with you.

Things were all over the place at practice but this would suggest Sandin might get a game tomorrow.

I have been high on him for a good chunk of the season despite the lack of pucks going in the net. I've noticed a trend of him putting pucks into bad places and skating himself into corners. From those corners, he's forced to make bad passes that lead to giveaways. Couple that with the lack of scoring and all he's really bringing is a good PK

Would be nice to see Sandin get into a game again and not as the 7th dman earning 5 minutes of ice time.

Scott Sabourin to LTIR retroactive to April 13th.  Does this actually help the team?

I think I read it gave the Leafs enough room to call-up Brooks and Sandin for last nights game. Hyman, Mikheyev, Foligno, and Hutton were all taking up space but obviously unable to play so that ate up a lot of room.

You are correct sir.

Crappy goaltending and terrible puck luck. Their record doesn't show it, but the Leafs have mostly been a dominant team over this period.

I agree.
I don't think they've been at their best. But they've been, in the least, equal to their opponents in most of the last 5 or 6 games. There's still several things that need to be improved, but I don't think it's time to quit watching the team.

Regarding the goalies, do you think it's a rhythm thing caused by our relative possession dominance? The Leafs are putting them through long stretches of inactivity, and usually the only thing that comes back is a grade A opportunity off a blueline turnover. If the pucks start dropping in on our shots, there's not much opportunity coming back.

Maybe, but I also think the goalies have felt extra pressure due to the skaters' lack of success in putting the puck in the net - especially on the PP. It could just be that they're trying too hard to be perfect instead of just playing their game. Probably a combination of the two, plus other smaller factors contributing.
