He's baaaack

Brought up for picture day. Let's see how long he lasts.

Knowing his luck, he will get injured during the photo session. Errant background laser beam accident.

Don't know why Marner waited until AFTER the deadline to LTIR himself.

Way more legible and more fun logo

BOOOOOOOO

The other ones are more period-correct and better.  The line between the numerals on the back was awesomely unnecessary.  They should also go back to the brown gloves they used the first year.

I was literally thinking the same thing. Brown gloves/brown shorts would be awesome. I do like the brighter green though.

is it a possibility Klingberg comes back for the playoffs?

Klingberg was supposed to have his surgery in late December, with an estimated recovery time of 5-6 months. That means a likely earliest possible return to full health around late May or early June.

So I mean technically yes if the Leafs go deep in the playoffs, but probably not. It's notable that Klingberg is still a part of this team and the Leafs have a responsibility to give him all the resources they can to help him with his recovery, just like they are with Murray skating right now.

Even if he's fully recovered, Klingberg almost certainly won't be able to get into game shape - never mind playoff shape - in time to make an impact. If the Leafs last long enough for him to even get back on the ice, I don't see them risking putting him into the lineup unless injuries force them to. He'll be way too out of sync with the rest of the roster.

Before anyone complains, Jarnkrok plays the shootier version of Marner?s role on PP2 (carrier), and is right handed so there is no additional learning curve for other members of the unit (and adds a heavy shot option when they swirl positions)

Yup

Yup
Isn't it about time to throw the blender out? I would have swapped Robertson for Marner and left everything else intact.

Knies Matthews Robertson
Bertuzzi Domi Nylander
McMann Tavares Jankrok
Who Cares

Are there any Keefe fans out there? Serious question.

Ya I like to see Robbie on the top line for a game. Whats up with Marner. They are being very quiet on him which makes me more concerned.

This certainly doesn't sound like a player who will be playing Saturday either.

Flip side is the Leafs are mostly locked into where they are in the standings so it doesn't really matter. Gives Keefe a chance to experiment with things he likely wouldn't have if Marner was healthy.

Only downside is him missing games could hurt Matthews' hunt for 70.

I guess the thinking with trying Domi, Tavares, Nylander (again) is to isolate each of the team's worst defensive forwards on one line? Interesting tactic.

I'm not sure I love having Rielly continue to QB PP1 (Liljegren appeared better suited to the role imo) nor do I understand Robertson being scratched. These younger guys need to be given the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and grow rather than being afraid to miss an assignment. I was hoping we would see some more creativity and some minutes for depth players to alleviate the elevated top 3-4 player minutes.

I'm behind enemy lines lads, been in Montreal since yesterday, had to ensure seeing the awful Habs logo on a building no less. How can anyone stand to live in this godforsaken place?

Touring McGill and Queens universities with my middle daughter as she is applying starting this fall.

I lived there from 80-86 and it was a fantastic city to live in then. Haven't been back. Both great schools.
