Dave Bolland

I think coming back and playing a back-to-back will be tough on the body after not playing an NHL game in so long.  My guess is he plays on Sunday.  That said, you want to burn off some rust... play a back to back :)

Dave Bolland for Prime Minister!  Lets see Dave come back, but a flame up Clarksons ass and move the Loafs to the Cup where he scores the winning goal in overtime in Game 7 (on a pass from the big C)

Leafs traded Joe Coulbourne.

I know the risk but I hope Nonis can have the guts to hold off re-signing him until he knows he's able to recover 100%.

jonasTSN1050: Dave Bolland is among the Leafs on the ice this morning. His status for tonight isn't clear as of yet.

mirtle: Keep in mind that the Leafs need some cap room if Bolland comes off LTIR. Would mean a couple bodies going down.

Its going to be an interesting negotiation. Clearly the team was never quite the same after he got injured, but how much was it due to Bolland, or the team settling to a level of what it really was?

I figure Nonis will essentially choosing between Bolland and Kulemin in the offseason.

KyleTheReporter: Carter Ashton back with the Marlies

Possibly an indication that the team will be activating Bolland from the IR, but, also, just the right move for Ashton in general. The kid needs to play, not watch.

Don't get me wrong I am a big Dave Holland fan but we have a young man whom needs to be playing for the big club and now, put Holland on the wing but give Peter Holland a chance.

?Peter?s probably, if not the best, one of the best puck distributors in the American Hockey League,? said Spott. ?Let?s be honest, he?s an NHL centreman.

My brain hurts trying to figure out which one is Bolland and which one is Holland...

He's coming back from a very tough injury, but a big collective meh to his play so far.  He's made a couple of terrible line changes that have directly resulted in goals.  That's about it.

If thats the choice I go with Bolland easily.  However, I feel most on this board would go with the declining Kulemin.

Haha. They're the same age and one of them is coming off an injury that might effect him for the rest of his career.

He looks really slow out there, particularly his acceleration.

He said himself he's having a lot of issues turning left, which creates a weak spot that's easy to take advantage of.

But the other isn't scoring 30 goals any more, so, you know, that means he's bad and stuff.

Overpaying for David Clarkson and Dion Phaneuf was deemed necessary by Leafs management, badly as the Clarkson signing has gone thus far. But if it takes overpaying to keep Bolland, they have to do it. His value cannot be statistically quantified. But his value should be unquestioned.

Says Simmons.

Bolland's approaching bands I don't like because of the fans status.
