Someone posted in the TSN comments that Habs haven't been shut out at home since 1996.  Is that true?

Just looking quickly, they were shut out 5 times at home last season. Probably best to just not read the TSN comments.

It might be the most goals they've allowed in a game when they've been shut out at home since 1996, but, even that seems unlikely.

It was the 1st time the Habs have been shut out at home while allowing 6 or more goals since December  23, 1996.

Unless he takes a mold of his arm and slaps it on Shanny's desk, I don't see how you prove he was bit from that angle.
Well I don't know, during the Nucks game they just showed another angle.  You can clearly see Komarov slathering Pacioretty's arm with hot sauce and just a little dash of cumin.  It appears Komarov was looking after Grabs all night.

Another thing with the whole Grabovski-Pacioretty incident - they fall forwards together with Pacioretty's arm still held up against Grabovski's mouth area. In a situation like that, Pacioretty could very well have been bitten without Grabovski biting down. I mean, who knows how they landed? Grabovski's jaw could have very easily closed on Pacioretty's arm merely due to the force of impact. Maybe Pacioretty will learn not to put guys in headlocks like that in future scrums.

Wow, I just realized now that Kaberle was a healthy scratch for Montreal. How the might have fallen.

I saw that too.  Sad.  Although they looked like crap without him.  ;D

That's what the boys here did for me with our 'Skate Chop'.  mmmmm...Penguin!

James Mirtle ‏@mirtle
Video shows Grabovski biting pretty clearly. Suspension very well could be coming, even though Pacioretty had his hand there on purpose.

I like James, but I have no idea what video he was talking about. Pac put his entire arm around Grabovski's mouth/face, but you can't possibly say for sure whether or not he was bit.

Mirtle just can't be 100% positive when it comes to the Leafs. He'll always try to find something negative.

To be fair I think he's one of the better Leafs reporters. I would imagine the 100% positivity has already been monopolized by Paul Hendrick or Mike Ulmer.

Grabovski via text says of Prust and Pacioretty: "They make me mad".

... and hungry.

Grabovski a zombie? That explains a lot of things!

Sure, but I think sometimes he goes out of his way to make a snide comment about the team or find a negative. I'm not looking for 100% positive, but, rather, fair and balanced, and sometimes Mirtle seems to struggle with that.

I tell you, I am tempted to give Bozak my MotM vote, but probably can't, especially since it looks like Reimer is going to pitch a
Dont even get that close to saying it.

I thought it and was angry with myself.

My wife said I was going to jinx the shutout when I mentioned it in the dying minutes of the 3rd, despite the fact that we were watching the game on PVR well after the game had ended.

Not that I'm a big endorser of icing goons in the lineup, but this is the prime example of why they do it. They absolutely neutered the Habs tonight... & the scoreboard only tells half the story.

I hate montreal.. bunch of divers and whiners. I mean you basically shove your hand into a guy's mouth then complain that you felt his teeth? C'mon. Habs lack of tough guys really showed tonight.. had to resort to being dirty to settle scores. At least when you send a guy out to fight you're hopefully taking coincidentals..

edit: Reimer shut out.. Kessel scores again.. Dion scores.. and the Habs are embarrassed at home. Do wins come any better than that?!?!

That Grabo/Komarov relationship is complex. Komarov holds Grabo back from going after Eller, then Grabo goes after Prust when he was messing with Komarov. It reminded me of when Grabo fought Chris Neil because Neil took a shot at another rookie at the time, Frattin perhaps?

I would love it if they played the jaws theme every time grabbo is out on the ice against pacioretti in future home game.
