A closer look at the Grabo 'bite'...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-YWQfuWpxU&feature=player_embedded

Even if Grabo did bite Pacioretty, I almost wouldn't blame him for doing so.  Pacioretty looked like he deliberately had his hand & arm over Grabo's face.  Coward!

Great game, great fights ;D great team effort!! (Wish they'd play this way against Boston).  :D :D

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!

Though Hab fans won't agree(have they ever lost a game where the refs weren't to blame), how is biting any more of a b*tch move than jumping a guy from behind and trying to rip their face off.

And what is Pacioretty trying to accomplish...Did he think that Prust needed help against Grabovski. Atleast Grabs came at Prust from the front.

Pacioretty needs to stick to scoring goals and quit being a crybaby when his team is getting their a$$es handed to them on a silver platter.

This game makes me happy. Very happy.

I guess I'm a neanderthal, because I thoroughly enjoyed watching them punch out the habs.  And hearing Price's quote, after they started it, just makes me hate them more.

I could see Pancioretti whining about getting bit if he wasn't trying to choke-out Grabbo from behind. I laughed at Georges suggestions of being a man...just so you know Josh, Grabbo was trying to fight with Prust while Pac was grabbing his face from behind.  He was basically fighting with two guys there.

And Therrien, watch the f'king replay before you speak...Orr didn't go after the knee...he was going to crush that guy (whoever, who cares who it was).  If you can't take the hit, and you jump two feet right 1/4 second before impact and catch your skate on the hitter, well it's not a guy going after your knee - it's you not taking the hit.  Now you know, don't go around poking bears.

I really love hating that team though...and they make it so easy.

Glad they punched them out, and beat them.  Typical habs whining after getting smoked on the scoreboard and the fight card.  I don't have an issue with anything the Leafs did on Saturday...hell even McLaren let up on Georges, and habs fans should have rathered he beat some sense into Josh to keep him from saying something stupid after the game.

This is the part that ticked me off also, there was no knee anywhere near Plekanec. They were just a sore team that got beat in every facet of the game and then whined about it.

Another thing with the whole Grabovski-Pacioretty incident - they fall forwards together with Pacioretty's arm still held up against Grabovski's mouth area. In a situation like that, Pacioretty could very well have been bitten without Grabovski biting down. I mean, who knows how they landed? Grabovski's jaw could have very easily closed on Pacioretty's arm merely due to the force of impact. Maybe Pacioretty will learn not to put guys in headlocks like that in future scrums.
Most plausible  and the league office should consider that scenario but I know whom to see if ever I need legal advice , bustaheims  ;D

I doubt Grabovski will be suspended. I have yet to see a replay that shows conclusively. It's pretty much his word against Grabovski's.

Personally, I think Grabovski did bite him. It's the only thing that explains that little sob story we witnessed. That said. It's not like Grabovski had to go out of his way to do it.

At the end of the day, let Pacioretty whine and be mad. It'll only make the severe beating he'll get next game if he tries anything that much sweeter.

I'm assuming this how the Hab's fan perceive Grabovski-Pacioretty incident  ;)

They were using the "knee" and the "bite" as excuses for their terrible play for sure. Really just sounded like a team trying to blame others for their horrible performance --  A Michel Therrien type of approach to hockey.

Not that I'm a big endorser of icing goons in the lineup, but this is the prime example of why they do it. They absolutely neutered the Habs tonight... & the scoreboard only tells half the story.

When the Leafs didn't have goons, what happened to the Habs last night happened to us on many nights in the last few years.  So the Leafs go from being the hunted to the hunter.  It's better this way. :)

I promptly turned the channel after rolling my eyes, listening to the post game reaction of Montreal players and the coach.

I DVRed the game and watched the grabbo moment.  Pacioretty puts his arm around Grabbo's face and the forearm goes in to his mouth.  Try it on yourself -- your teeth are going to make contact with the forearm.  The harder the forearm pulls back, the more contact with the teeth.  The word "bite" at the very least has the wrong connotations here.  Grabbo did not go out of his way to place his teeth on Pacioretty's skin -- Pacioretty's skin was involuntarily placed on and pushed in to Grabbo's teeth.  From that point it is sort of irrelevant what happened.

looks like Grabo is facing a hearing over it now.

Just something to shut up the loud mouths in Montreal. Shanny's covering his own here. Doubt anything comes of it.

Not that I think anything will come of it either, but I think you need to take an accusation of biting pretty seriously, regardless of how likely it was to happen.

What a glorious game! Have not seen the Leafs dominate like that in years... loved how everyone stook up for each other.... the team was so mean last night... loved it, couldn't get enough. Where was this team the last 3 years?

Grabovski bit a guy lol... okay, sure. Dude came after him from behind and was suffocating him with his arm, so his teeth touched his skin. Maybe he did even bite him, so what? I think trying to smother a guy is a little worse. Who cares... did you see Pacioretty skating over to the ref showing him his arm with no visible wounds whatsoever ? lol is he a 14 year old girl now?

"Mommy he bit me! See!!!"

Sure thing bud, sit down, go get a band aid and a juice box.

Now if he had taken a chunk out of his arm and there was blood everywhere, okay yeah thats messed up, but it didnt happen. His arm had a red mark on it and we're basically dramatizing a scratch now. Good job Patches, if I didnt have enough reasons to hate you as it is.
