Game 19: Leafs @ Sens, 7:00pm - CBC

You have to wonder what Holzer is thinking running his own goalie over like that.  A little bit of finesse would serve him well.

Otherwise, another odd man rush allowed by our defensive specialist line.

I agree.  That's one of the "usual suspects" trophies

Yeah, they still want to give it to stars so it'll go to someone who is pretty good defensively and scores 25 goals.

That goal was very fitting for how this game has been played.

I expect them to just roll over in the 3rd. I don't know how they think they can win games from their own end.

In fairness to Holzer it was try to hit him or just basically leave him alone in front of the net with a rebound. It was Captain Phan-tastic who shouldn't have let him skate right by.

With all the goals being disallowed due to slightly bumping the goalie, that is allowed??

He got pushed in. It was pretty black and white.

Yep, and that hasn't seemed to matter this year whether a player was pushed.  In the past I completely agree but this year it seems if your barreling toward the net and also get pushed it is still called.  Consistency please!

Definitely pushed in, though it looked like was planning on going in anyway.  Frustrating.

He would have went into Scrivens without being pushed. If Holzer doesn't touch him they might call that.

Yep, easier to vote that way which is sad, guys like McClement go largely unnoticed.

I still don't like the re-alignment idea but if you're going to do it I much prefer the idea of re-integrating Detroit back into the fold with some real hockey teams.

Aren't you just a ray of sunshine?

Yeah well, I really enjoy Saturday night hockey games and I get a little cranky when the team I watch looks like they left their game in the hotel.

Blame Scrivens on that one for his handling of the shot but score is flattering I feel. Been out played for the most part. Team has made some progress this season but games like this that annoy the heck out of you and I'm sure the coaches. Has anyone taken the body especially in our own end. Guys just fishing for the puck. I agree with an earlier post should have taken the body to them right from the get go. Senators got nothing to answer back with other than Neil who I can't stand and wish he gets pummelled by someone in the 3rd. Oh well hopefully they can salvage something with a good 3rd period.

Yeah this game is turning me into an angry drunk tonight

I expect Ottawa to go up 3-1 early in the third, the Leafs will be flat, but get one with under 3 minutes left and be all over the Sens.

Ottawa wins 3-2.

I get that, but I thought it was an entertaining period nonetheless.

Given the way the first two periods have been played I'm expecting a 3-1 or 4-1 loss, so I'm sure Brown, McLaren, and Fraser will try to "send a message" or something equally as stupid.

I might have tried to lift the stick, given the situation.

Leafs come out with a big effort in the 3rd. 4-2 Leafs, Bozak with the empty net goal.

I thought it was a tough angle to go that route but point is he was in a pretty tough spot.
