Your version of the signing is correct, but there was a sense he was injury prone much like how Antropov and Colaiacovo used to be. Many, myself included, said 60 games played would be a good benchmark for him. Barring any further injuries he'll exceed that.

But with Antro there was always the sense that he had bad knees/bad luck and with Coli there was always the sense that the way he sort of recklessly  threw himself around was the cause behind his injuries.

Again, I'm not making a statement here, I'm genuinely curious. Why should we assume Connolly will get hurt? That he got hurt in the past isn't really an answer.

I think the thinking is either he's fragile or has bad luck or used to get hit a lot on the top line for the Sabres. All the answers are a bit weak, but I think that's how the thinking went. I didn't really know much about his injuries other than his concussion and bone spurs.

That was all I was saying though. A lot of the knock I read on Connolly was being a little fragile and so far, yeah, that seems to hold pretty true.

Bozak's having a decent game, had some chances in the offensive zone and making good plays in the defensive zone.

Stuck with the Tampa feed.  7 points in his last 7 games.

That's the problem with Movember, once the mustaches start to look good, it's time to shave them.

Nah, that's just when you fold them into your Decembeard.

I've had Sabres fans laugh at me for the Connolly signing. I think it goes beyond "Connolly is fragile" and "Connolly is a total worthless piece of crap. LEINO RULES." At least this is how it was between July 1 and Leino's nosedive. Now that Connolly's back and playing well you don't hear any of that anymore. It's like they've run with their tail between their legs.
