Three goals on 8 shots. Do you think Roloson starts the 2nd?

Hard to blame him on any of the goals, but, you never know. He hasn't exactly played well this season, though, neither has his backup Garon.

Tonight seems to be a blow-out night for him.  He has either been dominant or doesn't give his team a chance to win, no in betweens.

Kablammo! Nice to have a PP that works, ain't it?

I love having a PP that works.

Me too nothing worse than other teams taking liberties because they know our PP sucks.  Having a PP that strikes fear should help keep teams honest.  Apparently Tampa didn't the memo that our PP is on fire and I'm glad we made them pay.

Connolly with 3 points in that period holy crap...no wonder Wilson put him on the point there on the PP his is lighting them up

10 pts in 10 games counting this one he has been great when playing

As an aside this isn't the Roloson I remember from years past. He finally looks like he's aged.

You know what, there's no way he could stop that Connolly shot at least. But yeah, definitely not as dominant as he once was.

I was thinking of those Sabres fans comments as well. Connelly sure doesn't look like the player they described does he?

Well, a little, inasmuch as he's been injured for half of the team's first 20 games.

love that the lefs are scoring dirty goals...tips and rebounds.  also, great having colborne in front of the net, and franson actually getting pucks through is nice!

Is that three points for Connelly now?

Yeah, 10 points in 10 games (including tonight).

VILLE LEINO IS THE BEST OFFSEASON ACQUISITION EVER. EAT IT LEAFS FANS TINY TIM IS TEH SUCK!!

They basically ran the guy out of town. He got injured, put up oodles of points, had some injury trouble again but wasn't given a chance on the top lines again and instead was placed on the third line last year, so his stats took a hit.

People kept asking why we gave him a raise when his numbers were worse: Because he was clearly mismanaged and asked to play a role not suited to him at all.

Every time we played against the Leafs ever since he came back in 2007 he's had our number like no one else, and I used to wish we had a player who could will the puck wherever he wanted like Connolly back in 2008 and 2009.

You know what I was talking about. There were a lot of people saying he was useless even when he was playing.

I'm not sure I'd be so eager to call the Tampa goal a softie, that was a pretty quick one timer by Lecavalier.

Bozak played pretty well that period ( so did quite a few others ) and it seems the Leafs have a power play that works, beauty.

True, but we all knew he was likely going to get injured at some point this season, but I think Buffalo's criticism about him was more than just injuries.

And hey, at this rate he'll be one of the least injured players on the team! Reimer, Armstrong, Lombardi, Komisarek will out-injure him so far this year or already have.

i agree with you..it's hard to see one go in when the goalie got some of it...but it's not like the guy shooting the puck was some no name that never scores...good shooters make goalies look bad

Connolly has as many goals and points in one period tonight as Leino has put up in November. ;D

I don't really get this line of thought though. Was he not fully healthy? Does he have a degenerative condition that makes injuries a likelihood? It's not like he has the roughest style of play so it's not like that was going to get him hurt.

The way I remember discussion about the signing it was that while he'd been injured a lot in the past it would be a good signing if he could stay healthy.
