I forgot how awesome our pk was. Phew, almost sounded silly there. Thanks.

Yup. I mean, it's only been running at around an 85% kill rate for the last dozen games. That's just terrible.
Well forgive me for looking at stats for the season instead of only the past 12 games. Stupid me again for not just looking at a percentage of the games played. Put an "a" on the guy for single handedly carrying the pk.

I really like Clarke MacArthur.  What a bomb... He's one of the few forwards we have that occasionally score with a slapper.

I thought the Leafs were supposed to give up quick back to back goals, not score them themselves. :P

They saw Beauchemin and Hagman and thought it was a Leafs scrimmage?

Yeah... I had an 80s flashback there. It's become somewhat lost I think.

Hey, you asked and the team's pk is substantially better now, are you really saying that Dupuis doesn't deserve some recognition for that?

I know it means you have to go back on what you claimed a little but c'mon, he's contributing to the pk right now.

Yup, because more than half the team's games and their most recent games are less of an indicator than the games the played in October when they were still learning a new system.

I guess slashing the stick is only a penalty when the Leafs do it?  I don't care because those are stupid penalty calls, but we better not see the Leafs called for it now.

Ah...why did we send Holzinger down in favour of Aulie?

'Cause he's 40 and retired...

kidding, I don't know, I was looking forward to seeing the kid play, have to think there's a reason, maybe Holzer is more of a right side dman?

Even though Leafs are up here I wasn't very happy with that first period. Some sloppy play out there.

There's also the familiarity between Phaneuf and Aulie, the fact that Aulie has played 1st pairing type minutes in NHL games and so on.

How the refs can miss a broken stick like that I'll never know, I don't like the criteria either but that seems like a no brainer given how it's been called.

You know seeing Grabs on the 4th line, easing him in or not, between the Leafs and Marlies we have a ton of depth right now.  When this team is fully healthy we have so many decisions to make and we really haven't had to do that yet all season.  We may or may not have two superstars on this team but we have a lot of really good players.

... absolutely that factors in.
