Game 24: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Anaheim Ducks W5-2

Dammit, I'm wrong. I just researched dupuis and I'm wrong. Has not allowed a pp goal while on ice in last 5 games.
I'm eating crow.

Happens to all of us, no worries.

...and we rule man! :)

Well forgive me for looking at stats for the season instead of only the past 12 games. Stupid me again for not just looking at a percentage of the games played. Put an "a" on the guy for single handedly carrying the pk.

Yup, because more than half the team's games and their most recent games are less of an indicator than the games the played in October when they were still learning a new system.

There's also the fact he's 2nd in forwards SH/TOI per game, and has been on for a total of 4 PP goals against (last I checked I believe anyways), out of 21 we've had scored against us.

The team's shorthanded GA/60 is I think close to double when Dupuis is off the ice, if I read the Behindthenet stats correctly.

So Colborne is NHL ready then?

He looks pretty close. Might even be there. I'd still send him down if the rest of the centres healthy, though.

Me too - not because he hasn't played well, he has, but he can still grow and we have the depth (gasp!) to let him develop and continue to dominate the A.

That, and, when the rest of the centres are healthy, there just isn't really a spot for him. Not with the way the other guys have been playing.

Listen who says you can't role 4 lines with skilled players. Put your best 12 forwards in the organization out there if you have to and light up the lamp, just do it.

That was some sweet pressure there, effort and speed kills.

Colborne is right there, no doubt, Crabb has been a nice addition too for both scoring and pk.

I heard a stat, Leafs have scored 23 more goals at this point compared to last year? Given up 8 more too but still that's impressive.

I don't think Randy Carlyle is going to employed for much longer. He doesn't seem to be trying much to get things going. His lines haven't changed. His matchups don't seem to have changed. His systems clearly are not working with this group. Anaheim has too much talent to be battling with the Islanders and the Blue Jackets for the 1st overall pick.
