Game 24: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Anaheim Ducks W5-2

It's been a while where a Leafs team has had blistering speed as this one and can actually force the play and sustain pressure. Great to watch.

And Anaheim has to do something with Carlyle. Similar to Boudreau and how Wahington looked when we faced them, they look completely disinterested and look as they couldn't be bothered playing for their coach.

That was some sweet pressure there, effort and speed kills.

Colborne is right there, no doubt, Crabb has been a nice addition too for both scoring and pk.

I heard a stat, Leafs have scored 23 more goals at this point compared to last year? Given up 8 more too but still that's impressive.

Kinda makes things easy for your goaltenders, doesn't it? I think we're really blessed to be scoring in bunches with Reimer gone.

It's official. The Refs hate us.

To be fair, the Leafs have gotten away with a lot of stuff as well tonight. Looks to me like they've all but put their whistles away tonight.

We got away with an obvious one in the first but I think it's been fairly one sided - again.  >:(

A little thing, but a couple of minutes ago Fowler got a shot off from the left side and the Leaf defender just got out of the way and let Gus see the puck and make the save.  They really are making a lot of good decisions in their own zone lately.

Easier for sure though Jonas has played pretty fair the last few too and that's a pretty lethal combination.

For sure.

Can't agree. I've seen a few trips, hooks, etc from the Leafs that haven't been called. They've called pretty much nothing tonight, and they've done so for both teams.

Yup, much better, they're also making the easy outs where they weren't earlier in the season.

Well, I think it's fair to say Anaheim has gotten away with more obvious ones. As far as the overall use of the whistle is concerned, yeah.. it's been rather idle for sure.

Tired of the question, what do you do??? nothing.  Leafs are winning, you role 4 skilled lines, Colborne? Crabb? no they don't go anywhere other than the 4th line if need be.  It is not like guys like Connoly and Crabb can't kill penalties.  They are doing it now.

I'm not complaining. The game is zipping by I was worried about a late finish and being extra tired tomorrow.
