Game 47: MTL @ TOR - Jan. 21 - 7:00pm - CBC

Wilson still tapping guys on the back to go out. Who gives a F888 now Ron. Can't stand that guy. Wonder what he has to say after the game. Moron.

Toronto was outplayed for most of the game and Price was definitely the better goalie. Not the best effort when they had their foot on Montreal's throat. *sigh*

Lose to OTT on back end of B2B.  Lose to Habs on back end of B2B.

Wilson sucks as a motivator.

Brutal, just brutal.

We could have sealed the deal on the Habs season.... Their second game on a back to back and we have ZERO killer instinct.  None.

Pretty frustrating.  Kulemin has been absolutely invisible this season.  Incredible he scored 30 last year.  Hopefully he can rebound next season and it's obviously not gonna happen this year.

I'm so sick of these terrible efforts against bad teams. We'll probably have another long summer to think about it.

I don't think it's a question of playing bad teams. Personally I don't think we are much better than them. I don't think we are as good as some here think. There is parity in the league now. With a hot roll we can move right up in the conference and with a losing streak we can be right near the bottom and I'm not saying either can't happen. Your right though the effort stinks and like I posted earlier seem to be seeing too much of that lately. Team has no killer instinct, how to put teams away. Furthermore I think we are becoming easy to play against. No toughness at all. Should be taking it to these guys. Another PP big deal. Healy blaming it on the break earlier in the period and Price has been the difference maker. What have the Leafs thrown at him. Pretty easy to stop shots with no one around you. Pathetic and you're probably right another long summer. Well one bright spot with that Wilson may be gone.

Well I made that comment based purely on the standings. I said back in November that the Leafs would be out of the playoffs by January, so you're right I don't think the Leafs are that much better. The Leafs have squandered a lot of points this year against teams that, according to the standings, they should beat. And it's not just a matter of beating them all the time. I realize that teams are going to lose games to teams below them, now more than ever. It's the timing of it that's so bad right now. They had a real chance here at home to get on a roll and make up some ground but probably more importantly, to put distance between them and the bottom so that they could afford to drop a few games here and there. Efforts like this are just making it harder and harder on themselves. There's no excuse for it. At home, facing a team that played the night before, having a terrible season, and it's your biggest historical rival.

I'll give some credit to the Canadiens. They did a good job eliminating the Leafs speed, which just highlights the fact that the Leafs have no ability to adapt their game, and THAT'S why they are not a playoff team.

He's certainly lived up to his handle this year.

Oh and Clarke MacArthur, WTF dude?  Been terrible lately... Giveaways, missing the net time and time again, weak passes... Very bad stretch.
