Game 5: Maple Leafs @ Rangers - Saturday January 26th, 2013 - CBC 19:00

Except for the Isles collapse, the D has been much much better overall so far.  PK especially.

Reimer has looked steady.

I'm also enjoying Rich Nash getting roughed up.

Has Frattin even played since his hooking penalty?

Come on CBC. You have to at least have someone to voice the far more well-documented opinion that building arenas with public funds doesn't lead to any significant economic growth. Otherwise you're just acting as a platform for the NHL's crooked business model that relies on taxpayers subsidizing the rich.

But Healy said you could be like Oklahoma City.  All you gotta do is tax yourself.  You know, Oklahoma City ... the new Paris.

I suppose it was too much to hope that they would have segued from the brilliant idea to use public money to finance pro sports ventures in Markham to discussing what was going on in Glendale.

Not just stadiums.  It seems every big building project gets government money in the west.
