Game 8 - Leafs @ Flyers - Monday Oct 24th 2011 - 19:00 EST - 4-2 Loss

It's too bad about that breakdown against Jagr, because the PK was looking good on the 4:00 kill.

It really did. I'm sure we would've killed all 4 minutes off without that defensive brain cramp.

frustrating giving up the goal like that ..but with how awful the leafs play in the first period ...1-1 is good ...and so far anyway..the monster has looked pretty good

Were the fans just razzing Kessel?

I mean the guy leads the league in scoring, and has a goal tonight. How stupid can you be?

These guys boo Crosby every time he touches the puck. And as mentioned earlier, Santa.
Blah...blah...blah ::)

You have to admit that Philadelphians in general have a reputation for being acerbic.  I worked there once for 3 months and all the local guys were like that.  I found if you give it right back to them they liked you better.  After awhile I didn't mind it.

Ok, just joining in. I watched the last few minutes of the 1st and I have to agree with Ron Wilson's sentiments: "WTF?"

Jagr made it look like I was playing defense, not Komisarek and Schenn.
And seriously, is the salute back?

Honest question O&B, do you live in Philly?
Yes....in Philly area...15-20 minutes from Wells Fargo Center.

He's only like the 3rd best player of the last 25 years.

You're not counting goalies?

Wasn't really making a definitive ranking, just trying to say he's one of the all time greats.

Agreed. We all know who number 1 and 2 are so.....
Did you forget about Messier or Lemiux?

I think after Gretzky and Lemieux, a case could be made for Jagr and a few others including Messier.

No. Why?
I'm counting 3 ahead of him if you're including both + Gretzky.

Sloppy period, but I'll take that on the road.  Ron's gotta tell them to dump the puck in on the PP; as it is, they can't even gain the zone.

Also, Schenn has been beyond terrible this year, to the point where I think worries are legitimate.  He looks like Jeff Finger.

According to espn Lombardi was on for 11 shifts, 8:24 in the first, next was Phaneuf with 11 shifts 7:57, next closest forward was Lupul with 8 shifts 6:17, wow.

He's on the first line for even-strength and powerplay situations, and only 1 second behind Steckel in PK ice-time.
