He has managed to dig out and hold on to pucks in the offensive zone well. I don't know much about his dzone play though. I think a fourth line of Ashton, Colborne and McClement would be pretty decent as fourth lines go.

Me and every hockey fan I know (not speaking of fans here) refere to our teams as we. Its been that way since I've been watching way back in the 60's.

And the way it should be. When I say "we won last night" it refers to the team I cheer for. People I say this to know what team im referring to because they have made an association with me and the team. When a discussion about hockey happens it usually becomes "your team" and "we". Now heres the thing, im not stupid enough to believe the person im speaking to actually owns the team or is a player on this team, nor do I think the person im speaking with is stupid enough to believe that after work I go don the Leafs Jersey and fly off to anaheim to play vs the ducks. Saying we is faster and more efficient then saying the teams name over and over again. Quite frankly in a natural discussion it sounds forced and needlessly repetitive.
This all started because somebody said "Why do you say we....YOU'RE not on the team"
Answer : "Because saying the teams name over and over again is ridiculous and I give the person im talking to credit for intelligence"
Unless of course they ask me that....then I say the team names every time...because they no longer get credit for it in my mind.
(No offense is meant to anyone here, you guys are very intelligent thats why I come here....but this...is one of my big pet peeves and I hope to squash it once and for all)

I appreciate your explanation but for me In that scenario I just say "they" instead of "we".
And it's not that I assume that everyone who says "we" is connecting themselves to the team and taking credit for their success - I give people more credit than that and I'm certainly not going to lecture anyone for using "we".
It's just a distinction that I want to make for myself.
