Joffrey Lupul

So. Any update on Lupul, besides day to day?

He didn't take the full practice today.  Left halfway through I think.

Seems he's going to out for awhile. No point rushing him back either if he's still dizzy. Leafs are going to need a healthy Lupul come playoffs.

How's that for stating the obvious. I could be a colour guy on TV.

Maybe you could, but can you ask your interview questions so that you answer it at the same time like Paul Hendrick does???  ;D

Don't worry folks, I'm hard at work on some over the internet medical courses. In, oh, 8-10 years I figure I'll be able to say he has a concussion.

Come back healthy and strong you beautiful, beautiful man.  I don't normally admire men, but when I do, they're usually Joffrey Lupul.

Carlyle says Lupul had an off-ice workout today. May travel with team to NYC, if not would skate in Toronto.

Can't see how he's too bad if they're considering having him join the team in NYC

So Lupul "passed all of his concussion tests" but we still must cynically believe that he really does have a concussion?

I assume those tests were not performed by Carlyle himself and didn't involve smelling salts and a "how many fingers am I holding up" game, so I'm inclined to believe that the medical staff have done their jobs here and say he's good, other than a sore neck.

Carlyle reminds me of my old coach. When I slammed my head against the boards in practise once, everything went white and fizzy.

When I was laying on the ice he asked, "Do you know where you are?"

I answered, "Here" in a scared shaky voice. I didn't have a clue where I was.

He shouted, "He's ok!"

ya except the team has professional doctors, all the technology in the world available to diagnose injuries and Carlyle has absolutely nothing to do with his recovery process/program and his current status.

I don't think there's any imperative for us to believe anything. What you think in this circumstance is largely going to be determined by how you feel about hockey teams divulging information on injuries in general and the Leafs in specific. Obviously, mileages vary.

I realize that much. Just sayin' he's cut from that old school mold. He was talking about himself being concussed and playing the next game. Not a knock against him. I have no gripes with RC.
