Leafs 2013/2014 Schedule in 10 game chunks

0lCAjcV.png

3 losses in a row and 4 of 5.

I have a dream that one season i'll be able to fill in mostly green in every 10 game chunk.  That magical season when the Leafs are a top team in the league with over 100 points.  Until that day I labour on.

Montreal: most likely loss
Devils: win
Blues: loss
Flyers: loss
Red Wings: couldn't beat them two days ago, so loss
Flames: they can play spoiler big time...but this is a win
Bruins: dont see it. loss.
Jets: playing well recently but Leafs will prevail.
Lightening: loss

Doesn't look good. But whenever we count this (bloody) team out, they surprise us especially against the big boys.

The rest of March is rough for the Leafs. If they don't turn it around soon, they're going to have an extended vacation.

I see a win against Habs.  They've been on a roll, Leafs have been in a slump, usually these things turn around in both instances.

A season ending 14 game losing streak could net the Leafs a top 5 pick.

They changed the lottery rules so any non-playoff team has a shot right?

I know it'll be slim, but we'll have a chance!

Yeah. The odds just get better the lower you finish in the standings, but, as it was with the old system, only one team can move up. Everyone else stays the same or moves down 1.

Maybe. They've been playing pretty good though lately. And I'm sure Burke will offer future raises to anybody who helps them beat the Leafs.

Yeah, I know. That's why I said point rather than win. I foresee an OT/SO loss to the Flames.

Make it stop.

If Bernier returns without any lingering effect from his injury, this team should be able to turn this thing around. Losing hope quickly though. Will he be back soon? Is it too late to make up the ground?

Unless he plays like he did in late November/early December.

Or even like he did in most of his appearances after the Olympic break.

Who's to say Bernier was hampered by his current injury prior to the LA game? In fact it was reported he was.

From the reports, the damage was either done late in the Anaheim game or in practice between that game and the LA game. That means it's not really an excuse for the 3 below average starts in his previous 5.

And, for what it's worth, there's plenty of speculation that the injury is worse than the team is letting on, so, I wouldn't expect him back any time soon, and, if/when he does make it back, I would expect him to look less than fantastic for a couple games.
