Leafs @ Golden Knights - Nov. 19th, 10:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

It's kind of hard to fathom how dulled down they look.  It seems like forever since they've had a breakaway goal ... maybe because their style now makes it impossible to get any.

Ceci lunches down behind the net an awful lot for a guy with worse offensive abilities than Ron Hainsey

Which overreaction is the worse ?  The signing of David Clarkson after the loss to the Bruins in 2013, or what the Leafs did this last off season and the way they are being coached now because of the loss to the Bruins?

The Leafs haven?t had a lead in over 400 minutes

If it gets to 500 there'll be a new boss behind the bench.  And if Babcock goes I presume and hope Hakstol and McFarland go with him.  They've all had a hand in this revue.

That Willy backhander and the preceding move was pretty amazing

Nylander certainly hasn't been the problem, but it's all for naught if they don't start scoring on some of those.

Update: Ceci leads the team in icetime and is on pace for 25 minutes.

Why? Nobody knows.

We go out and get a first pairing offensive defenceman and also pick up one of the worst defenceman in the league. Babcock plays the latter like he?s a stud #1 defenceman and puts the former in the third pairing.

Duthie was a fair amount over the top there but this will be a significant period, either for better or worse.

The Tavares thing is perplexing. How does he go from the guy with the most 5-on-5 chances in front of the net in the league to no shots at all many nights?
