I'll be 48 this year, I can't even count how many times the Leafs have kicked me in the nuts
I've been kind of avoiding the GDTs of late, because of the negative nancies that have showed up with arguments I just can't fathom. The team has dramatically exceeded expectations, they're fun to watch, and they have teenagers/rookies literally leading the team. But no, they don't knock people over in the crease, get into meaningless fights, and Babcock's a terrible coach because he can't make teenagers play like they're in their late 20's, or put in a system that make average veteran players look like all-stars.
I hope a few more people post on here are actually enjoying this season as much as I am.

McGarnagle. All your first points I'm with you 100%. I couldn't be more excited with this team and I wasn't expecting playoffs or even being in contention at this point. It is frustrating seeing some of the things that you think is of unimportance. Most of those may have been directed at me but I'm not changing my views on that. When I see players hacking away at your goalie or the puck in the crease they should be on their ass. D is way too soft and opposing teams know it. The other thing that frustrates me and yes you may lay some of the blame on how young we are but we've blown so many leads this year. Reminds me of the Wilson and Carlyle days. I don't expect these kids to buckle down and play the trap and secure 2 points every night. It's a whole team effort and I don't buy they can't tighten up when holding a lead. Is it the players though or is it coaching? Should Babcock be doing anything different when holding a lead? I don't know what the answer is but I just look at where we are and ya it's great but I also look at where we could be if we could have held on to some of these leads and some have been as bad as the Bruin collapse. Maybe management is ok with where we are and if we make it great if we don't oh well. From a fans standpoint to some extent I agree I wouldn't mind another top pick even though there isn't anything spectacular in this draft. On the other hand there's a lot of us who see we have a great chance to get in even if it's only one round. It would still be valuable experience to the rookies.

I agree, but Laine's 50 in 53 is kinda crazy too.

I criticized Gardiner last night but he's been excellent tonight. Got the 2nd Brown goal started too.
