Classic garbage goal on Bernier. Yet again

That was the best player in the world given all day by himself in front of the net absolutely bullseyeing the top corner.

Just to add, I think Rielly played that right taking away the pass.

I agree and Bernier played the angle well. Plain and simple if that's not an absolutely perfect shot, it doesn't go in.

I'm not so sure Crosby is still the best player in the world these days, but, yes he's better than Bernier for sure.

It'll take more than 30 so-so games for me to take that title away from Crosby.

And he scores that goal on anyone.

I honestly don't understand how this isn't how the Pens powerplay looks all the time. No team in the league can put a better five-some out there.

I hope people remember that sequence when they say Bernier "can't make a big save when they need one". The only way that holds up is if, as it seems to be, the definition of a big save is any save Bernier doesn't make.

Dallas is pretty close but, yeah, that's the sort of hockey they should be playing all the time.

Pittsburgh should just give up any pretense of playing defense.  It really isn't a well constructed team but they could outscore people if they played more aggressive they need another puck moving defenseman.

Bernier stymies Kessel who was in all alone.  This has been a pretty fantastic period of goaltending from Bernier.

Now that was a nice save by Bernier on Kessel!  However, Kessel should have gone top shelf.

Yeah, so how about we stop letting Pittsburgh tee up cross ice one-timers on Bernier.  Bernier might fix his season SV% in this period alone.

Sportsnet can't even jump the shark.  They don't even own a boat or a set of skis.  They also live in the middle of the Mojave desert.
