Leafs @ Penguins - Nov. 26th, 7:30pm - SN, Fan 590

Bernier doesn't have it tonite.  Even on that 4th line shift after the 2nd goal he looked really sluggish sliding across the crease.

In his defense, I think he realizes he doesn't have one in front of him.

I wasn't aware drawing penalties obligated the coach to playing him on the PP. Especially when he's been terrible on it.

No, no he has not and if your argument is that Clarkson is more of a threat, then, I mean, have a nice night.

He has yet to be productive, it will come though he has too much skill for it not to.

Clarkson's actually been terrible on it. How terrible?

Mirtle just posted this. 5 on 4 P/60 for Leafs players with at least 300 PP minutes over the past 7 years.

You're my hero.

I think they should show Malkin's PP goal every 35 seconds, on a cycle.  It would just simplify their task.

We should bring Tim Connolly back?

If you could only play him on the pp.

He sure disappeared.

He's also made some pretty nice saves. He's just being exposed by the team in front of him.

mirtle: Leafs way up on the shot clock but a lot of those were on the PP. Penguins had 64% possession at even strength. 2-0 after one.

Just like the last game against Pittsburgh.

This has all the makings of another game against the Pens where the Leafs getting a good amount of PP time makes them look like they held their own against them, when really they're being pretty solidly outplayed.

Leafs outshoot them 14-7 and the Corsi For is 17 each and Leafs' Fenwick For was 15 to 12.

So...not after the 1st at least. PP didn't prop up their ES play in the 1st.
