I dont understand any of stats.

You don't need to. If you watched the period with your own eyes, why do you need someone else to tell you what you saw?

Yeah, man. Why even track wins, goals, assists, saves? If you watched the game why do you need the man to tell you what you saw?

Well, it's a little bit like how baseball analysts break down WAR on an inning by inning basis during the course of a game except the exact opposite of that because nobody would ever do that.

"So, these are old school stats (including a couple we often refer to as 'garbage in, garbage out'), but, if we call them 'Analytics' we'll seem smart and in touch!"

Would any team bite on Clarkson if the Leafs retained 2 million per year for the remainder of the deal?

Do you think any team out there wouldn't think they could get a better player at a better price on the UFA market?

A lot of people aren't interested in constantly reviewing analytics in order to enjoy the game and have valid opinions; some people obviously believe it enhances their enjoyment to follow them more closely. Either way, I enjoy the observational posts; I've never been much of a baseball guy, where the sport is a series of repeatable events.

I think most teams would, although I think there are still some dinosaur GMs out there that value Davey's "intangibles".

mirtle: Leafs best period all year has been the second. Nearly 50% possession and outscored teams 27-18. Going to need that here.

Working so far. Also, you know, Kadri doing something positive at even strength. Again.

Also, I don't know if you caught my comment in the other thread, but thanks for the Serial tip, it's amazing.
