Fraser and Ranger leading the defence in ice time, because . . . science?

I'm really starting to think we don't have a defenseman problem as much as we have an offensive zone presence problem.

All that quick-strike stuff, and the lack of a cycle game really exacerbates the defensive zone shortcomings.

You're on to something.

No sustained offensive zone presence = trouble

As Bowen just mentioned, defensive zone play is really hard work.  When you don't have any offense, or sustained pressure in the o-zone, you're in trouble.

What the hell happened to the Kadri of last season?  Raymond is back to playing like a $1 mil dollar player.  Clarkson has no partner in the zone to cycle with.

Kadri has disappointed all season. Mentioned how I think they are mishandling him but he hasn't done much. Offensively not seeing much and he's had some brain farts last month with his suspension etc.

This is sad. They could and should be so much better :(

Especially against a team I reckon a UK side could run close...

I just hope Leafs don't play Sabres in the playoffs.

We have to make it first. Way we have been playing and I see no reason for it not to continue we will be outside looking in and I say before Xmas.

Well MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin was a great cycle line the vast majority of their time here.  I truly think losing Grabovski-MacArthur has hurt this team offensively.
