Official meeting place of the Kadri Cadre

I am seeing to many Lone Ranger rushes by Kadri, he needs players that are just as creative, and full of energy as he has been.

Those players keep getting hurt and we are running out of them.

Are you suggesting Colton Orr doesn't have the hands or creativity to play with Kadri?

The upside of Kadri on that line is he's a pretty intense fore checker, something that line lacks. While the argument can be made that Bozak is more defensively responsible, I believe that line would spend more time in the offensive zone with both Kadri and van Riemsdyk in on the fore check.

That said, the chemistry Kadri has with Frattin is pretty undeniable so I'd be hesitant to break that line up. For now with Frattin out, it might be worth a look.

He wears 43 because he'll average 43 goals per season over his 17 year career. Finishes with 731 career goals.

Speaking of his number, anyone see Kadri jerseys around the ACC these days?  Considering his play I would think so.  But I'm wondering, do people think he will switch numbers at some point?

Unless Mats personally comes around and hands Kadri #13 and gives him a hug, I don't see it happening.

So no other number like #91?  Just stays with #43?

I don't mind #43, just wish I knew if he was keeping it.

Tweet him and ask.

I imagine most people are waiting for it to be more than a good couple of months before they invest in a jersey with his name and number on the back.

I've seen people buy jerseys for young upcoming players after a few weeks into their first full season, who have done less, wouldn't surprise me if there are a few people already with them, I know one person who got a Kadri Leafs jersey during his first season with the Marlies.

heck, i got a James Reimer jersey early into his Leafs career, but I had been following him for a few years before that and was willing to take the risk of him not panning out, or being moved.

I have a counterfeit Komisarek jersey I bought before he played a game with the team. I'm embarrassed to wear it, but I did anyways to the home opener. I overheard a couple comments from other fans, which is not a surprise. The surprise was that I saw another person wearing one.

It takes a strong man to admit this.

See, this is why I've always been afraid to get a name/number on the back of a jersey of anyone other than a legend like Sundin.

It makes a lot more sense...my Luke Schenn jersey doesn't hold the same value that it used to.  And my other active player jersey is a Kulemin one...let's hope he stays for a while!

He tweeted a pic after the Lightning or Panthers game of a bunch of Leafs fans in Florida and a bunch of them had Kadri jerseys.  They're starting to get out there.

At some point in the past year Kadri wrote on twitter that he was sticking with 43. Said that he wants to make it his own. Who knows in 10 years we might have kids coming up wanting to wear 43 for Kadri.

Kadri's got the kind of skill that doesn't just disappear.  If he stays healthy I see him being really consistent (his minor league numbers attest to this).

Guy reminds me more and more of Gimour - tenacity, skill, even the way he skates.
