LOL, Hayes just did 15 minutes of filler waiting for Kadri to show up on the phone, still waiting.

Let me guess, he's proposing that every player on the Leafs get bought out except Kadri?  Or is Kadri getting bought out now too?

I think is Hayes pretty good on the radio, he hasn't made strange pronouncements about the Leafs like you're suggesting.  I find he's usually pretty fair in his assessment of the team.  I like the show with him and McLennan.

43 is for kamikaze guys who bust the wedge on the kickoff.

Or defensive players of the year who splatter RB's into mush:

Or one of the greatest closers of all-time:

Or even goofy looking mongoloids who marry a Kardashian:

Wait, what was my point?

ECKECKECKECKECKECKECK

I think the Leafs should do an A's and wear white skates.

I have a counterfeit Komisarek jersey I bought before he played a game with the team. I'm embarrassed to wear it, but I did anyways to the home opener. I overheard a couple comments from other fans, which is not a surprise. The surprise was that I saw another person wearing one.

See, this is why I've always been afraid to get a name/number on the back of a jersey of anyone other than a legend like Sundin.

At least it was counterfeit and only cost $50.

If you want a guy traded go out and buy his jersey. That just seems to be the way it goes. This by someone who finally decided to buy a Kaberle jersey about 2 months before he was dealt. >:(

C'mon, you only had yourself to blame for this.  There was talk of trading Kaberle the entire year before he was dealt.  The writing was on the wall for that one.

Yeah. This is true. I guess I was in denial.

TSNBobMcKenzie: In honor of Nazem Kadri's hat trick tonight/emergence this year in TOR, I recall what London GM Mark Hunter told me prior to 09 draft:

TSNBobMcKenzie: Amid great pre-draft debate over who's better - John Tavares or Matt Duchene - Hunter said Kadri deserved to be mentioned in same breath.

Kadri has more points than both Sedins, Toews, Thornton, Hossa, Kovalchuk, Duchene, Parise, Kopitar, Perry, Ovechkin, Nash, Benn, Gaborik, Ryan, Neal, Seguin, Koivu, Iginla, and Kessel to name (more than) a few.

Missed the game but just saw highlights of the hattie.

Sweet freaking Geebus.

Btw, can we get a confirmation ... is this indeed the exact date of the Paul Henderson hat trick at Nassau Coliseum in 1974??

You know, as well as Kadri's played, I can't help but think that his output is as much a testimony to the decision to have good offensive talent on three different lines. With teams maybe focusing defensively on the Kessel line and Grabo's line getting a ton of defensive assignments a line like the one Kadri's on is going to get a lot of favourable looks.

That's not to deny him any credit for the way he's capitalized on those opportunities but just noting that the blueprint of the traditional third line is one that doesn't really fit well in this NHL.

i still think it's amazing that line still manages to get it done even when one of the guys he has to work with is Orr

Kadri is 17th in points across the league... and he's got the least amount of ice time out of the whole group.... RC? Might want to up his ice time... just sayin..

Yup. Well, except the 1974 bit.

I contest the accuracy of this list. There has to have been a Leaf hattie scored since that last one Sundin is listed on ...

What about the game against Calgary when he scored his 500th - was that not a hat-trick as well?

You contest its accuracy? I mean, I agree it appears to be out of date but it answers the question you asked, doesn't it?

Well now, I think were getting to the time when we go back and look at all them posts on trading Kadri, and how he wont be a  big star in the NHL, bla bla bla. I know a few of the guys on here who kept including him in trades.  ;D . games like last night make me smile at them guys, and there know it all attudes.

I'm enjoying my humble pie. It's always nice to see a player surprise everyone like this. I don't think anyone had him leading team scoring at the half way mark. I'd like to see him still leading the team at seasons end.
