No Rielly tonight?  I figured they'd want to see what he can do these last two games before making a decision on him.

With the Franson signing, the decision has probably already been made.

Probably. In the unlikely event Liles is traded they may decide to keep him, exhaust his 9 games and see how he absorbs the experience before finalizing the decision.

I think you're all avoiding the REAL question: Will the booing continue?

Funny, I was actually wondering this the other day. Maybe not tonight, but I think enough Leaf fans will make the trek over the border during the regular season to keep the tradition alive.

I know 50,000+ who will be on New Years, myself included.

I'm pretty sure the league orchestrated that whole move just to make the WC interesting.

The Leafs just played a 4 min stretch where they dominated play there- how did it start?  Clarkson forechecking like a madman. It energized the whole bench.

He'll be the key to starting the season hot! Oh..wait... ;)

Wings score. 2-1 Wings. To much traffic in front.

Colborne has been less than impressive during the preseason games. I'm not sure he wouldn't clear waivers.

I just re-watched part of a game in the Boston series.  Colborne was playing and doing just fine there it seemed to me.  I really think he should stay on the team.  He has the smallest possible cap hit (just about) and gives us useful center depth in case of injury.

Given the cap situation, it makes even more sense to keep Colborne (save $325K) over, say, Orr but we all know how that goes.

Wouldn't surprise me if he cleared either. I'm not sure there's a team out there willing to give him a roster spot right now.

I see the Leafs are going to take the same approach to "have to opposition drastically outshoot us every night and hope we score at a high percentage" approach.  Shots are 27-14 through 2 periods.  This is when things should start to tighten up in preparation for October 1st, not look like a sloppy gong-show.
