As long as he keeps playing the stiffs and not the skaters we are done for.  He needs to adapt his methods to the team he has and he has a lot of speed on this team.

Lups taking control of the locker room - promises the leafs will play as a team

Hey guys Rc still likes our forwards to collapse in front of our goalie not to attack point men ?

Therefore the forwards pray that they don't get injured and yet for a while there this technique contributed to being outshot with around 50 against every night .

Where's the logic in that
If something's not working one must adapt till something works.

I still say for a possession game ala wings just copy drills red wings use in practices
And too left wing lock.

Though have looked a bit better versus hungover kings
And coma like hawks lately.

Do youthinkfrom the leafs someone read my post?
Or was it finally that obvious?

And someone from the leafs finally woke up from their drunk in stupor.

Forwards were finally attacking defending high
In their own zone last night,
Chicago too.

I had a hard time reading both your posts so I'm gonna go with no.

Alright. I've heard enough capitulation. I'm predicting three wins in the next five games to help start to turn this thing around.

Against Chicago, Pittsburgh, Florida, Phoenix and Detroit? Yeah, I don't see it. They should beat Florida. That's about it. Quite frankly, I think they'll be lucky to get points in 3 of their next 5 games.

Close.....soooo close.  ;)

?Off our performance last night, there will be changes,? Carlyle vowed

David Alter ‏@DavidAlter590 1h
#leafs lines at practice: JVR-Bozak-Kessel, Raymond-Kadri-Lupul, D'Amigo-McClement-Kulemin, McLaren-Holland-Orr.

Gleason in for the injured Gunnarsson? McClaren in for the injured Clarkson? I can't believe how different it is!

We tried nothing, and we're all out of ideas.

I've been catching up on the 24/7 episodes, and man, Carlyle's coaching style is pretty disappointing up close, too.  It's low on detail, and high on shouting platitudes.  He doesn't seem to know how to encourage, only how to threaten.  Maybe I'm biased because I don't respond well to that style of command, but it left me pretty cold.  I'd rather play for a guy like Babcock.

Carlyle came across as a bit uncomfortable on camera, though, so it's hard to say if that's what he's really like.  When he wasn't pissed off he was quiet, laughed nervously, or made weak jokes that mostly fell flat on the floor.  I cringed a lot on his behalf.

It's mostly too hard to say from that alone, since it's edited and presented how HBO wants it so things can be out of context or they can present only a fraction of what goes on.

jonasTSN1050: Carlyle is considering juggling his defence pairings. Look at practice today saw Gleason-Phaneuf, Gardiner-Rielly, Fraser-Franson.

Sweeping changes!

That's not really fair.  The Leafs and Wings both had creative veto power and HBO would be editing things too.    It's a filtered message that comes across

Motivation & Drive ..... I believe this is what the Leafs are lacking. Oh, and that thing called Quit, should say No quit.... This team is lazy, and needs a kick right in the arse, and if Randy and his team can't do it, then bring in someone who can, and will.

And I think Carlyle needs to start sitting any player that gets caught watching instead of playing. And sit them for a game or two, and let them watch without skates on. Give the  good players on the fourth way more ice time while sitting the lazy ones.

Its not rocket science...

Unfortunately it looks like we are going back to the 4th line with A good player and two who shouldn't be in the NHL.

You can only scratch so many players a night . . .

In the month of December Holland was tied for 3rd on the team in points and tied for 2nd on the team in goals. And during the month he averaged 13:18 of ice-time per game, which was less than everybody except the 4th liners (D'Amigo/Orr/Bodie/McLaren/Ashton/Smithson). Oh and he pretty much got 0 powerplay time too.

scratch one or two if needed. As long as he does not put that message out, they will keep taking games off.
