Bozak named first star? Did they only watch the final 60 seconds?

Players more deserving than Bozak:

Kessel, JVR, Lupul, Phaneuf, Bernier, Kadri, Raymond, Bolland

+1.  Phaneuf has been our best dman so far IMO.  And you know what a big fan of his I am.  And Kessel too is making my carping about his contract look like uninformed, biased carping.

WHAT A friging GAME!!! Great win by Bernier, calming everyone down. Excellent job by Bolland, Bozak, Raymond. Aw yeah!!!
All the pickups this summer have so far made difference for the win tonight

Bernier took the #1 from Reimer like taking candy from a baby.

Sorry Reims, you're a good kid but we need a professional goaltender who has the fundamentals down pat.

I'm going to stand by my anti-shootout stance.  If the league won't expand OT to 10 minutes, or even consider the 3-on-3 option, any penalty taken in OT should be played to its entirety.  If a subsequent penalty negates the man-advantage the game ends immediately.

How bout an infraction on a breakaway in the final minute if OT is a goal!

Or at the very least, a penalty shot.

What another entertaining game.

The turning point may have been when Bernier came into the net, and it just seemed that the Leafs started playing with a bit more confidence and/or speed.

And what great timing Lupul's goal was at the end of the second.

Bernier should have started tonight, IMHO, given how well he played against the Flyers.  He has stolen 2 games so far.  The trade looks really solid, as, notwithstanding how well Frattin plays, he probably wouldn't ultimately make the difference in winning many games (like most 2nd or 3rd line forwards).

It is so refreshing to see Bernier's competence, and especially his rebound-control, and puck handling.  Reimer just has never been even average in those categories, and I just don't think that he ever will be.  Bernier should be the no. 1, unquestionably, (but then again Carlyle seems to see these games differently than most fans).

Well, Reimer's been slightly better at saving pucks over his career.  Let's not make any definitive decisions for a while.

It was refreshing to watch Bernier after sitting through one of Reimer's total "spazz out" games. That kid is as cool as The Cat.

Rielly played very well, in my opinion. If he can play around that level every night, I'm actually in favour of him staying, which I wasn't before tonight.

Mason Raymond could be the pick-up of the off-season, considering the price tag.

Is it time we start officially referring to Bozak as "money" on breakaways? Say what you will about the rest of his game (Personally, I think he's pretty good), but I don't think there's another player on the Leafs I'm more confident in that one-on-one situation.

That was a fun game that I thought was over when it was 4-2. Awesome.
