The Habs Thread - Reloaded

The positive thing is he probably gives us the best chance to be terrible and get another top 5 pick.

Habs fire Cunnyworth and Ladouceur....

I'm thrilled with the Galchenyuk pick.  He's actually a year younger than Yakupov and I was surprised by the comments that he may have more offensive upside than Yakupov down the road.

He was also drafted #1 overall in the 2010 OHL draft while Yakupov was drafted #2.

Finally a big elite talent centre!

Nice pick - someone to build around up front.

Gally of course is good, but dude...Collberg/Thrower/Bozon in the 2nd/3rd rounds. Could be/looks to be the best first 4 picks of the draft.

Leafs are happy with value of Finn @ 35, but Collberg @ 33 is a huge steal too. Lots of people thought Bozon was under consideration to go to the Leafs at 35.

I thought (as Ferret put it) that the Habs were Canada's new "disaster franchise"...but I think this group of draftees is my fave.

A few writers out there have said Montreal got the best haul too.  Hope they're right.

Armstrong / Prust / Bouillon - looks like Bergevin wanted the Habs to get tougher

It's a good start.  Might as well build some character, they're gonna need it this season.
