L K said:Green Book is definitely an Oscar-bait type of win this year but I don't think this was a very good crop of movies. I liked Roma a lot more and think it would have been a better win but I also felt that blackkklansman was pretty heavy handed itself as a movie.
Nik the Trik said:"Good" is such a relative term with Marvel movies that it seems pointless to get too deep into it before you see one. The big questions are going to be whether or not the setpieces work, if it zips along, if it's "fun"...honestly, stuff that you're just never going to know from a trailer.

Regardless, have some fun with this:

I think that's another thing. This is largely just going to be scene-setting for future stuff and the next Avengers movie so how well it works as a standalone piece may not be at the forefront of everyone's mind.
OldTimeHockey said:I'm actually quite excited to see it. That being said, I usually view these movies with my 10 year old daughter who loves the superhero genre so my excitement is usually based on whether or not I think my kid will like it.
herman said:It's a prequel that has to balance setting the stage for whatever role Carol plays in End Game, as well as answering the questions around why Fury and Coulson started the Avengers Initiative to begin with. Full circle stuff.

It's incredible. Some mad man climbing El Capitan in Yosemite with no ropes. Cinematically it's amazing then add in just the madness of the feat

All of the people in this article are legitimate film critics. They've seen the goddamn movie.

I don't think there are tons of people out there who really need this to tie narrative strings together so they can enjoy the giant CGI fight scenes.

Really makes you think that maybe there's a Kree-Skrull War going on inside all of us.
