The Official TV Thread

Well looks like Brooklyn Nine-Nine will stay alive for another season over at NBC. Michael Schur must have a good relationship with them since his other shows were all there too.

looks like our social media campaign to blitz them with messages about how much we love it worked. Even Benecio Del Toro and Mark Hamill got into it for us :)

B-9-9 lives!

and today, CBS renewed my favourite show, Criminal Minds too.

It's a good day!

go Jets!

The picture in this tweet sums it up, yikes.

So I guess ABC has figured out that it's maybe not such a hot idea to get into bed with nutjobs, no matter how many people tune in.

How many days before Fox picks it up?

I have no doubt that the Murdochs would happily stoop that low but with Fox about to be owned by Comcast or Disney that may be radioactive.

Because Phoebe Waller-Bridge's name is starting to get out there (L3-37, in Solo), I've started up Fleabag and Killing Eve and they are both wonderfully dark maybe-comedies.

I thought both were terrific. Killing Eve is probably going to do big awards business(and rightfully so) but I thought Fleabag was one of the genuinely funniest shows I'd seen in a while.

The fact that they picked up Last Man Standing is what made me think it, but yeah Allen isn't as toxic as Rosanne is I guess (at least not publicly).

How many days before Fox picks it up?

Given the response from fellow cast members, especially Gilbert, I think the show is dead.

It's not like they're just now finding out she's a huge racist, but yeah I guess that might makes things a little tough.

Especially since Disney owns the station that just axed the show in the first place.

A preview clip of the Obama bit of Fleabag's pilot was what sold me.

Love the selective misinterpretation of freedom of speech.

NFL players want to protest at work? That's not freedom of speech!

Racist comment gets someone fired? What about freedom of speech?

The amount of people that misinterpret freedom of speech is mind boggling.

Yup, and from all parts of the political spectrum. It's always freedom of speech when it's someone who supports their positions (even if they don't support the statement they're facing consequences for). But, they suddenly have a much better grasp of how freedom of speech works when the person/people facing consequences espouse viewpoints they disagree with.

Gigabyte internet just became available in my area and I am looking to "cut the cord". Anyone have success streaming high quality resolution sports? Paid or otherwise. I would prefer 4K streaming if possible and would pay.

I've been a MLB.TV subscriber for a while now. It's a really terrific service at a very reasonable price if you're a big enough baseball fan to watch out of market games. I can't speak to its 4K stuff though.

YouTube tv has been great for us for $35.

For NHL games I use caststreams or nik cage and haven?t missed a game in over a year.

I tried NHL?s own service the year before and regularly dealt with blackouts and other technical mumbo jumbo.

For PPV stuff I don?t wanna buy online I use either reddit or xmeforums(sub required).
